2011 Unlimited Owners

I have asked this and thought I would check again since there are more 2011 owners out there.

When lowering the soft top do you have issues with the Sub getting in the way of letting the top lower itself all the way down?

I have the Smittybuilt Boot and cannot get it to secure on the body/corner retainers because the top wont lower itself enough. I am still a good 3-4 inches off.

I can get it to lower enough that its out of way and doesnt look goofy but the boot wont fit no matter what I try.

If I lower the top according to the videos it actually sits higher then when I do it the way I do now.

Just curious. Any Ideas? Thoughts?

I am having the same problem. The top doesn't seem to go down anywhere close in order to get the boot to fit. Even if I wasn't trying to use the boot it still doesn't look right.

Have hard top on and never installed soft top. Is it hard to do ? Also does the soft top stay on folded in back if u want to put hard top on? Or is one or the other. Just got jeep 2 weeks ago and excited to go to topless but loving my painted top

Per the warranty info only one top is suppose to be on the jeep. They say that the hard top might damage the soft top is both installed.

Soft top should not be installed under the hard top. Installing the soft top is not hard, especially if yours was assembled from the factory.

When they deliver the 2 top option to you, the soft top is installed and folded ready for use under the hard top. I had my soft top inside for 3 weeks until I could get the torx drive bit to remove the hard top.
There was no damage or rubbing anywhere, I also have the factory sub installed. I travel on plenty of rough bitumen and dirt roads in my area so I was concerned about the story of rubbing and damage. In that 2-3 week period I put 2200Km's on the clock.

It was still in that lightweight plastic bag they deliver it in.-- Still is in the laundry weighting for the right weather.

Nick.
