Question 2012 & Wix Oil Filter Help

I tried searching but that led to more confusion

Two questions:

1) Where are good places to get Wix filters? I know NAPA Gold are made by Wix, but my NAPAs are out of stock and on backorder. I don't mind ordering online, especially if they are cheaper.

2) I see threads that show Wix Part Number# 57144, but when I check on the Wix site it says Part Number# 57526. So why the difference?

Just buy a Mopar filter. They are made by Wix as well.

If you don't need it right away, Amazon has 'em. You can even set up a subscription so they are delivered regularly if you have an idea how often you change your oil.

I found a site called Filter1 that has them for $2.72 each, but that almost seems too cheap...

filter one has been my oil filter supplier for years order $50 bucks worth at a time and they are free ship, mainly for fleet type operations but will sell to individuals, I just order Jeep, Vrod, Lawnmower, vibe, volvo, Mountaineer and Lincoln welder ones all at the same time, they also do all the fuel filters too, Nice set of WIX catalogs on request also

Wix #51516 is approx twice the size of the stock filter and has the same specs internally as the #51348 Wix.

I checked on the Wix site and it shows Wix part #51348 for the 3.8L JK.

Part Detail Wix 51348

Part Detail Wix 51516

I've run the larger #51516 filter for a while now and O'Reilly Auto Parts has either part # in stock. I couldn't see a downside to having the extra filter media of the larger filter.

I have the '12 Pentastar engine, so there are different numbers.

dkeven thanks for the vote of confidence! They only want $2.72 per filter and $5.00 shipping. That is cheaper than anywhere else I see. I was afraid to pull the trigger because it seemed so awesome.
