I thought that was the case after scoping it out on the dealership lot, but I was hoping I was wrong. I just wonder why. Just seems odd to make an extra effort to take a step backward. Kinda like when they took the actual heat vents out of the hood.

Personally I'm glad I don't have that goofy white plastic cap sticking up off the top of my bumper. Also glad that it's a fully useable as a step (granted I have a roof rack, so that's extra important) where I don't have to worry about stepping on and cracking that cap.

I also can't imagine being so tight on space that I can't fit the water I need in my cab (or strapped to a bar, etc)... and especially can't imagine drinking/cooking with water that came out of my bumper.

To me it's a gimmick that never should have been released.

+1 with the vents though.

Thank you jmcd...Love the look of the AEV Premium..what type of winch did you go with? I am thinking of the KC HD lights on the bumper...I really wanted the all black look. Is yours a Call of Duty? if so what did you do with the original bumper

My winch is a Warn 9.5ci. It's not a COD, its a Rubicon, I installed the bumper and all the goodies. I still have the stock bumper.
