I think Jeep must be telling them to quietly hold onto the 2012's. I went by several dealerships looking for a 2012. All they had were 2011's on the lot for display. I finally asked a salesman at the third dealership I went to if they had gotten any 2012's in. He said yeah, they were at the side of the dealership. Sure enough they had 4 loaded 2012's. If I viewed the dealerships inventory online via Jeep.com all of the 2012's showed as "in transit" even though they had been on the lot for 2 weeks. Jeep's site makes no reference to 2012's and Jeep isn't exactly deep discounting the 2011's. They are only offereing $1000 incentives. I compared pricing (with a Chrysler Friends and Family discount) on the 2011's and 2012's and it wasn't that great. I don't think I would have bought a 2011 even if it had been a lot cheaper but it seems like Jeep is trying to hide the 2012's and try to sell the overstocked 2011's for as much as possible. Sticker on mine was $41,700 and it has every option except engine block heater and dual tops, including painted hardtop/flares, nav, leather, seat airbags, etc. I got it for right at $37. The only real price difference between it and the 2011 Rubicon unlimited they were were pitching to me was the painted top and flares and different Nav unit and it was only $2000 less.
