2012 front window

Mine got cracked yesterday from a rock. How hard of a time will it be for the window company to install a new one? These look harder than a average car. Do they need to take interior trim all off around window?

CWrangler,

The newer windows are relatively easy to get out with a modern wire-out system. If I were you, I would make sure that whoever you call uses a wire-out system and not some other means. The Jeep windshields don't have a molding, so if a power cut-out tool goes through the urethane too far, it will scratch the paint and there is no way of hiding it. A wire-out tool just uses a piece of wire around the whole outside of the window, then it is pulled to the inside, leaving the trim in place and no damage to any paint or trim pieces.

The whole process should take an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the tech.

These windows are actually remarkably easy to replace. Just call a professional and verify they've done it before. They can do it in your driveway in an hour or two.

They're relatively easy to replace....I've had 3 replaced - 1 on my tj and 2 on my jk....get used to it since the windshield is practically vertical. About an hour and $150 give or take.

My wife cracked her windshield, thankfully we had glass protection through GIECO and its covered 100%. They sent Safelite to our house and then guy knocked it out in less than a 1/2 hour. He said that he does a ton of Jeeps

Hmmm. My $200 install was with the factory glass with logos.

My deductible is 100 bucks. I'm going to call and ask them to double check the higher price ?
