I've got a 2013 Rubi 4 door with 4.10's and I get about 16.8 mpg in combined highway and city driving. I drive fairly conservatively. On the highway I get 17.5-18 and in the city closer to 15.5-16. The highest I've ever had is 21 mpg and the lowest was 13 (big off road day).

2013 Sport S, 3.73's. I was averaging about 19.5. Put on 33" Duratracs with 15" TKO's and dropped to 18.5. According to the MPG indicator.

2014 JKU Sport. Just bought it, then drove it from Kelowna (BC) down to San Diego. The very first tank was in town, and I got about 15mpg on that one. Things slowly improved from there. My best mileage was on the way back up to Canada...filled up in Bend, OR and didn't touch the pumps until Pateros, WA...24mpg. That was keeping it under 70mph with relatively little wind.

2013 JKU, auto w/3.73. 255/85/16 KM2's. Just changed my oil for the 2nd time. 10k miles. Dumped the dino oil and poured in 5w30 Pennzoil Platnium. Rotated the tires and bumped up the pressure from 30 to 34. Went from an avg of 16.5 to 20 mpg. Same daily drive, same traffic, same gas station. 60f temps instead of 30f. No storms. I was getting 16.5 pretty consistently all winter. 2 tanks so far at 20. Amazing increase.

1. What are your wrangler specs? (rubi/sahara/sport, 2/4 door, 3.23/3.73/4.10 gearing)
2. How did you drive it this tank? (still in break in, city/highway breakdown, conservatively or like a bat-outta-hell)
3. What number fill up is this? How many total mikes so far?

Picked it up on 3/3

2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
3.21 Axle Ratio

Still in break in period. It has 673 miles and 403 of those are highway and country two lane. The rest are suburban Chicago, tons of stoplights driving.

According to the MPG "estimator" on the dash, I am getting 15.7mpg. I will update when I fill up next and can calculate actual mileage.

I could only dream of these numbers. Mine is bad. Almost to the point I think something is wrong but I don't have a CEL. Just drove to Big Bend from San Antonio. It was windy and the speed limit is 80, which is what I drove. I have a 3.5" lift and 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers, front and rear bumpers, etc. Mileage both ways was around 10.5-11.5 mpg. Not good at all. I also have an auto and 4:56 gears. It's a 2012.

With that list of mods I highly recommend you never concern yourself with MPG again. Lol.

I am hoping to be in that boat shortly.

LOL! Agreed! Also, I've found that doing anything above 65 on any terrain that's less-than-downhill is going to result in horrible mileage.

If anyone is strictly going by the on-board calculator, you'll almost never get an accurate result. Sometimes mine is pretty close to the "hand calculated" mileage...other times I'm like "uh...computer? Were you even paying attention on that drive???".

I use a free app called Road Trip. Been using it to log my mileage in four different vehicles over the last four years.

No doubt!! Only reason I was a little bummed is because I'm ready to put on a supercharger and don't want poor mileage to be a potential cylinder issue and find out afterwards.

25000 on my 2012 wrangler sport with goodyear authorities. Still on the winter gas here in N.Y. Towed my 2 place enclosed trailer with two sleds in it, 300 miles doing approximately 65 mph. Got 13mpg according to the onboard. Even though I opted for the 3;21 rear end it pulls the trailer with no problem. My buddy has a 2005 Dodge Ram gets 7 mpg pulling the same trailer. I'm satisfied and absolutely love my jeep.
