2012 JK stalls when I open/close door?

So the last few mornings I've started my Jeep to warm it up in the morning. It starts fine and runs. When I return to get in it and leave for work it stalls when I open or close the drivers side door.

Anybody have this problem?

remote start on a stick shift... It's designed to stall out the jeep so it can't be put in gear

You should just take it in. There doesn't seem to be a logical explanation for this. I had a 2013 manual with no auto start and this never happened. The only difference might be I had half doors with no alarm. So maybe it's something in that system if you have it. But what's odd is it doesn't stall when you open the door to get out.

Didn't happen until I brought it to the dealer for a check engine light and they had to flash the computer...

Sounds as if the recent flash has enabled the safety feature of remote start. Seems odd since you don't have that option.

Just to troubleshoot one area- you said driver's side door. Assuming you are using passenger door and reaching across to turn the key to warm it up then right?

If so, unplug your door harness on the driver's side door and see if the same issue happens.

Can't turn on a manual from the passenger side. You have to disengage the clutch for it to turn over.
