2012 JKU center console usb port dead

Hey all - the USB port in my center console just stopped charging my phone. I tried different cords and phones just to be sure. Is there anything else I should try or know about before I talk to the dealer? Also if this is a warrantee deal, I don't have to pay right? The charge plug in there does work... This is annoying but not the end of the world. Thanks!

well - read through the Jeep owners manual - the big one, not the one they send you home with. There's nothing in there about a fuse for the USB plug in the center console - does anyone know if it's a fuse for the usb plug and something else maybe?
Thanks!!

That is a data cable. It should wire directly to the head unit and will have no fuse. If you put a fuse on it, it will corrupt data flow and also cause the iPhone to read as an invalid cable type. Check where it connects to the head unit.

Better yet, just take it to the dealership and make it their headache for free
