2012 JKU Sport S questions for owners

Well, I've come to the conclusion that I will probably not order a factory colored HT due to the super-inflated cost that Jeep is charging. ($980!!!!)

Even in the Mopar Accessories Booklet, the painted HT is only $650 more than the standard Black HT for the JKU's.

So with that said, I'm going to look a bit closer at the Sport S package while I figure out what color combos will work and what I can "live without".

So my main questions:
#1 What color/name/type are the shocks your Sport S's? There is conflicting information in the Jeep info (imagine that ) regarding the shocks that come on the Sport S. Is it normal duty? Or is it upgraded since 17 inch wheels are included?

#2 The Sahara's come with the option of saddle interior, and they also include a 115v outlet in the center console. In looking at pictures, it appears that the 115v outlet could be a modular piece. I'm not sure what is there for the Sport S's....but could someone check to see if there is room add in that outlet?

#3 Is the driver side seat height adjustable?

On a side note....has anyone painted a JKU top? I was searching through a lot of "painted hardtop" threads...but I only saw two JK/JKU's with painted tops. Has the hard top material changed or texture changed? Any problems with peeling? Anyone with factory painted HT's....how is the paint holding up?

If I do go with a Sahara, I'm thinking Winter Chill (we will see how it looks iner person first)...and with that color, I'm thinking the matching fender flares, saddle interior (leather), the "satin" bumper inserts, and a tan top (both hard and soft) would look the best. Getting a standard black hard top (thus saving $900!), and painting it a shade of dark tan would look nice.

If I go with a Sport S, I'm thinking Black Forest (again, will have to see how it looks in person first). The black fender flares and top would actually give a hint of contrast that would really bring out the dark green. I would like tan interior, but the Sport S's all black interior would look good in such a vehicle.

I have no idea about shocks. I should, but eh, I don't. I could post up some pictures of mine.

Mine has the outlet in the center console. I bought a really low profile Apple charger to plug right in there so when it is plugged in it won't stick out and interfere with me grabbing anything else.

Driver seat is height adjustable. All the way up it feels like it almost tilts forward some, but it is nice, one extra adjustment to get it just right. Or for short people that can't adjust the rear view mirror.

Sport S you only get the black interior. Well the seats have the stupid little white stripes in them.

I like your thinking about dark color to go along with the blacks on the Sport S. I know I got a shiny silver, but seeing pictures of the dark cherry red whatever it is called looks REALLY good. Better than the bright red with the black. To me anyway. So I am guessing the black forrest green will be the same for me, look a little better than a light green and the black.

The Sport S comes with the black "light duty" shocks. My recollection is they're just Monroes--I found them awhile back on Monroe's website and for like $30 each or something on Amazon.
