2012 pre-orders

Sometimes dealers play games to get more profit.
For the people who ordered 2012 Jeeps without the price being known, how did you protect yourself?
Did the dealer then treat you fairly?
What kind of deal were you able to get?
If one was to do something similar for MY-2013, what things do you recommend doing and what should one avoid.
TIA

Join Tread Lightly, get a Chrysler Affiliate Rewards control number. Price is set, and guaranteed by Chrysler, to be no more than (but can be less) 99% of factory wholesale price (invoice) + $75 program fee + limited DOC, state tax, tags, registration. All other current incentives apply on top of that price.

No sweat deal for you and the dealer, who gets 2% of invoice 'kick-back' for accepting the program.

When pricing comes out in July, if there is a shock, you can cancel your deal as long as you make sure any deposit is refundable.

jeep order

hi, when i ordered my jeep i offered invoice and no dealer fees,
as for my trade 07jk went to car max and was offered $16,500. so that
was the deal, i could have ran all over town to save $100/$200, just not
worth the effort, so i feel my deal was "priceless" i also got 4 oil changes. it worked for me and i am very happy with my 2012 jk, auto, lsd,
pwr package, side steps. $26,500, $10k and my trade to move up 5 years. life is good, ps; i have owned many jeeps

Agreed, at a certain point, a few additional dollars in savings is not worth it.

Thanks for the info.

X2- this is the one of the best ways to make the deal. You know worst case that you will be 1% below invoice which is a darn fair deal for everyone. Pricing is upfront with no surprises. If you work for a large corporation you may find an affiliates program on your companies HR benefits site and you save a liitle bit more. Regardless, tread lightly is a great program.

If you are in the midwest Pat will give you 2% below..no haggle. You will have to ask local dealers if they will match. Some of us were able to find a dealer that would do this but it took a few calls.
