2012 rant..........

I had to get this out of my system but WHY WOULD ANYONE IN R&D THINK IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT THE VACCUM PUMP WHERE IT IS.

I think i found 50,000,000 other places it could have gone with less stress to remove/repair it if it ever went.

I just needed to rant that on the forums and whomever disagrees with me.... needs to do a relocate for it

Yes, it sucks where it is. If you are careful about which bumper u get, they can work without relocating. I kept the stock bumper and added a winch plate. (Didn't want the extra weight) didn't need to move it and I didn't want to mess with it yet. I did watch a couple really go YouTube vids on it.

I feel like the majority of aftermarket bumpers do not require relocation of the vacuum pump.

I moved mine to install the Warn Elite front bumper, personally I did not see a big deal in doing it and only took about 15 minutes..........

Rampage bumper, no relocation.

But really, how hard is it? Man, it's a Jeep...one mod leads to another.

It took me about 10 minutes to figure it needed relocation, another 15 minutes to figure where, and 20 minutes to cut out an aluminum bracket to put it under the hood. It is not a big deal.

If you dont have the tools to make a bracket, just buy the bracket. it's not expensive.

I did it too. But being that it is so easy to move under the hood, why wouldn't Chrysler just do it in the first place?

Changing the engine air filter in my 2011 is 10x harder than it needs to be too
