No worries. It's this guy. My jeep is an 08(basically the same as yours) but the roof is a '12 hardtop. If you see that footman's loop doesn't look like it lines up exactly right with the top. This is because in '11 the footman's loop was shifted slightly left. I'm not 100% sure if this will affect the fitment of the soft top because it doesn't affect the hard top(and isn't even used in the soft top). At the very worst you may have to make a little notch in the header bar. I believe their is a writeup on Doing this. An '11+ hard top or soft top is better because it has larger windows which is kinda nice
The soft top header has a cutout for the hoop. If you try putting a 2008 soft top on a 2012, the center front of the top will stand about ¼" above the windshield frame, causing lots of wind noise and most likely water leaks due to the hoop's location. I would think it'd be the same putting a newer top on an older one.
For less than $700 you should be able to get a TrekTop NX with all hardware (like I did).

I have a 2012 and bought a 2007 soft top with tinted windows. Brand new still in the mopar boxes. I hope it fits, haven't got the hard top off yet but hoping that will happen soon. The dealership said that it would fit so I bought it. I know this is below market value for a brand new soft top, but I was outside my house and a guy drives past, stops, backs up and asked if I wanted to buy a soft top. It was like a guy with a trench coat with the watches inside. He said his "Ex-wife" left it in the garage when she moved out and he wanted it out of his garage. He seemed so sincere. When I asked the price, he said, $250.00 dollars US. After going to the dealership and asking if it will fit, I jumped on it. Figured worse case scenario I could sell it for more if it didn't fit.
The footman's loop behind the rear view mirror was moved for the 2009 model year. So 2009-2013 tops are all compatible. This was to accommodate the change in the freedom top latch.
If you're trying to fit an 07-08 soft top on a 09-13, or vice versa, you will have to remove the footman's loop, bend the footman's loop, or shave the soft top's header bar. Any of these techniques are easy.
