Angry 2012 Wranfler soft top 2 door

I am a first time jeep owner and seem to be having a lot of trouble raising the top. Does any one have any good instructions on how you do it. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum! And welcome to the addiction of Jeep! Most people want you to post questions in the model of your Jeep section. You have a JK it should be in JK tech section.

I have an '04 TJ when it HAD a full soft top it was very easy to drop and raise the top.
Purchased a '12 JK for HER in Dec. Dropped the top on it a week or so ago. IMO compared to the '04 it is a PIA, putting up and down. It is not near as easy. I did find that standing on the back bumper to get the header started over the roll bar made things much easier.

I do like the sunrider feature on the JK but right now, for me.....I will be happier in my TJ....as far as top less and ease of use go.

I watched a really great video on YouTube about this. Just do a quick search for 'Jeep Soft Top.' Jeep has quite a few videos that are step-by-step.

I do as JP2611 does. Stand on rear bumper. I just made a hitch step. Standing on the bumper was awkward, the step is safer.
