2012 Wrangler 33'' Tire Performance Loss

Hi,

Anyone with a 2012 and 33'' tires? I'm getting some of those and I'd like to know what to expect...
Would the pentastar handle that size without a problem?

Regards,

Guillermo

i went from the stock 16" wheels and puny tires on mine to 17" wheels & 32" Toyo's that are actually heavier than most 33" tires.. The Toyo's weigh 63# each, whereas 33" KM2's are 59#

My power loss is negligable... I did lose about 1.5-2 mpg though..

Im running 3.73's and Auto Tranny

I think I could run 35's with no problem with my setup

I drove a lifted AEV 2012/ Wrangler with 4.10 Auto and 35's / if felt fine, not a race car(truck) but not as responsive as stock..

Went from stock 32's to 33' duratracs within first week of ownership. I didn't notice any loss in power, but my MPG went down about 1.5 MPG.....

I have 35's with 3.73 and power loss I can tell a LITTLE bit. but I notice things like this after working/being a mechanic for about 10 years it would be smaller for the average joe. 315/75/16 duratracs

I have 33x12.5/15 with the 5 speed auto and 3.73's. I went from the stock 16" steel wheels with I believe 29" tires. I didn't notice any substantial loss in power. Mileage dropped a little but that is expected. Around town and on the highway honestly feels the same as stock.

I just put some 33s on my 2011 and the loss in power was very negligible, but the loss in MPG was more noticeable.

Negligible on the roads or on the trail. If I upgrade my tire size will I see any power loss on the roads?

You guys saying loss of MPG.... are you recalibrating the Speedo/Odo? if not then... your MPG figures are wrong (low).

I haven't recalibrated, but I saw a post on here a while back how to figure it out with simple math. So my number took that into account.....
