The TL/affiliate/friends are all the same. You get 1% of invoice under invoice. The dealer honors it and gets 2% of invoice back. That makes the overall deal 1% of invoice over invoice for the dealer. What I do is give the whole 2% back to you. So it would be 2% of invoice under invoice.
I thought Chrysler reimbursed 3% of invoice for TL discount sales. Thus the dealer normally keeps 2% and the other 1% is passed on to the buyer. If the reimbursement is only 2% and Pat gives 2% discount how do you make money Pat? FYI Park Chrysler Jeep in Minneapolis is matching your price of 2% below invoice. That will save me a lot of gas but I guess I'll have to miss the party.
Thanks Pat for blessing the Jeep fans of the world!

They still get the dealer holdback (up to 3% of MSRP)

Using the same rates of invoice to MSRP from start of last year (per model, each was different), you'd get an estimated invoice of:

WRANGLER SPORT 4X4 $22,797
WRANGLER SAHARA 4X4 $27,149
WRANGLER RUBICON 4X4 $29,003

These are obviously wild guesses, but I'll use them as a starting point and assume all other features are the same price/invoice as this year. Good idea of what the rig will cost.

If you have a Chrysler EP number, you get 5% off invoice.

Guys, I'm going to apologize in advance for posting this here, since it's off topic -- but the folks in this thread seem to really know Jeeps, so I thought I'd take a shot. I'm trying to decide whether to go for the leather seats on my '12 Rubi or stick with the fabric. The leather seats come with seat heaters (nice in the Michigan winters), but I've heard the fabrics wear better. Any preference or advice. Never had leather in any of my Jeeps, but then again, I've never custom ordered one so I'm thinking about it. What do you think?

IMO, Cloth...no question. And the ordering allows you to select seat heaters with cloth right now (not sure if that will stay or not). Leather in a Jeep with the top off in the summer is brutal. Just my .02

Pentastar power ratings

Your numbers look about right. The exact HP rating is a question of calibration (for emissions as well as the other mechanical components in the system). The engine is the same in almost all cases. The Dodge variant is at 309 HP I think. In any case, within a few months, the chip tuners will all have a chip tuner that allows you to tweak the HP (in favor of poorer fuel economy in most cases), but if its ponies you want, ponies you can get. The engine was designed for 300 HP+ and there's room for more power in the future. The factory tuning isn't very aggressive.

Yeah, that's what I thought. But I'm going with the Freedom top and then I'm just going to buy a bikini top for the summer. But I hear you on the leather in the summer. Ouch...

Current invoice for a 2011 Rubicon is $32,141. Did it really climb 3k in one year? I suspect your numbers are low. I would hope for 29K but anticipate base at 32k.

I think you're thinking of Unlimited (4 doors) . I'm talking about 2 Doors.

I was referring to the 4 door. The 2 door currently has an invoice of $28,886. Took the wife for a Rubicon test drive today. She likey. So it will be the JKU in natural green (same as several of you) unless a better color comes out between then and now. I have a sinking feeling she will be asking to borrow my Jeep while she gives me the keys to the Commander XK Hemi with an empty tank.

Ha! I fear my wife will be stealing my Jeep often, and she does know how to drive a stick. Yes the current invoice is $28,886 but it was $27,543 last June. So I'm comparing start of MY to start of MY to get an idea for the overall increase.

So with a run rate like that I shouldn't expect much more than current invoice for the 4dr. The increases, as Milous and Pat referred to, occurred throughout the year which lessens new year sticker shock.

My wife has been running rails and 3 wheelers in Baja since she was little. She likes to push the edge. Last year the kids named her the mominator after doing baja trails in the XK. My belly still hurts thinking about it.

No need to be sorry fellow Michigander.

You can always get the cloth and then order seat covers with the heaters built in.

Wet Okole Neoprene Jeep Seat Covers - Quadratec
A little pricey but they look cool.

Just google it. There are all kinds of ways to go that will save over the $900 factory option

Could this be the COD package? First, I know that's a Black Ops logo not MW3. But here's what's intriguing:

1. It's not Black (COD on the 12 is available on all colors, only on Black on the 11)
2. Power Bulge Hood
3. Mopar Bumpers.

I like it. I may have to go change my order to include the COD package.

I could be wrong but that front bumper looks like an AEV bumper and those are definately AEV wheels.
