Anyway you slice it, the option will probably be a bit overpriced for what it is anyways.

I'm betting their 2" spring boost, darkened factory rims, hood bulge, tail light guards, badging, etc, etc.

I just can't bring myself to buy a trim pachage based on a VIDEO GAME.

Now if it were the MechWarrior 3 package and came stock with LRMs and a Gausse Rifle...

Boy I sure hope they tweak it back down!!

that $1400 +/- increase is a deal breaker for me........

The media is saying consolodating to a single engine across multiple platforms was supposed to save the company money, yet they pass on a pretty steep price increase instead??.....Hmmmm

Maybe if there is a new body/windshield to go with it.????

I may have to just sit on the sidelines, and wait for some to show at a dealer and pick one up in the winter when the realization that our economic recovery is fizzled out and no one is lining up to buy new cars.. Maybe Jeep will be offering rebates to move them by then.....

Man this sux! I was all jacked to go pre order one..

Just got back from trying to buy a 2012. I tried 3 dealers in Eastern MA. Lawless Chrysler was my first stop. They told me that they would not be placing orders until MSRP was released - reasonable. Grava Chrysler was my next stop...

I met with a salesman, a nervous guy in his 60s, who forgot to give me his name. As we got to his desk I thought to myself, oh great, what can this guy do for me if he doesn't even have a computer. Luckily, beforehand I had prepared a detailed list of everything that I wanted. Eventually I spoke directly to the sales manager who argued that I could have a 4 speed automatic, or a 6 speed manual, but no 5 speed (W5A580).

To make a long story short, we couldn't come to an agreement. The salesman was dumbfounded that I would buy a vehicle without knowing the price. I said the MSRP is irrelevant. I just want something in writing that says 2% below dealer invoice, and I want all other costs (Doc fee, etc) in writing. I told him that I would give a $500 cash deposit then and there. He said the lowest they would go was 1% below DI (And later forgot about saying 1%, and said invoice was the lowest).

I am going to try Central Jeep on Saturday. Any advice to make this sale happen?

There seems to be too much confusion early on. I spoke with a few buddies in Jeep sales, and they said they are holding off until they have MSRP and clear some inventory. The 2012 seems so much better than the 2011, that they'd rather not get stuck with 2011s when the 2012 is just around the corner. I can't blame the dealer for not taking orders until cost is established, it saves them from issuing refunds. I'd rather know the price, strike a deal, and place an order. I'm going to give it some time and see if any additional colors or packages come out. I'd kick myself for placing an order and then when its too late to change the order see I color that I'd rather have. Not knowing a price, at least for me is not a good idea either. JMO

You can adjust the cloth seats as well. It's been that way a long time...

Make phone calls/emails. If the internet person gives you the run around ask to speak with a sales manager..and have some patience. According to Pat the first allocation doesn't close until the 16th I believe.

Well, I like the factory seat heaters, too. That's also available as an add-on with cloth, but I just ended up liking the leather a little better. I'll just have to use some seat covers in the summer to avoid damaging anything important on the hot leather....

To those buying from Pat, I'm curious as to where your located? Whose making the longest journey to buy? How are you going to handle the drive back home? Isn't it recommended to not drive at constant speeds for the first few hundred miles on a new engine?

I'm in Plymouth and seriously considering making the trip too. I have a trade though so I'm not sure how to make that work out.

I'll ask again... I'm almost ready to order Cosmos blue because I just want to get my truck asap, but, I'm anxious to see the other colors before I order, mainly CRUSH. Anyone seen a paint sample? Is it cool? Anyone have any opinion on the resale value of cosmos blue? I"ve had mixed reviews from friends and family on the color... I like it because it "pops" I had an 09 rubi in detonator yellow and I loved it. Anyone like that color cosmos blue? crush, blue, crush, blue, cru...ahahshahdada im goin crazy!

I haven't heard of anyone seeing paint chips. Crush isn't available to order right now. So if you want to order now, it's Cosmos Blue. You asked, so I'll tell you. I'm not a fan of the Cosmos Blue.
