There was posted, at one time, a site where you would insert the last 8 digits of the Vin and the track sheet would come up if you were in D1. I just can't seem to find that link anywhere now.
Go to the old page where you were tracking the other order.... go to the top... to the search bar (where you have the http:// ) find you the old vin number and replace with the new vin #.
It works for me, I'm also on a Mac (macbook pro).

Ladies and Gents. Picked up my 2012 Unlimited Sport yesterday evening. Less than 24 hours later the bumper is off and no goes the Rock Hard 4x4 and a Warn M8000. I'm looking for advice on the best route for the winch cables? Any suggestions? Or a different thread with the info?

Thanks.

I'm new, first jeep, first mods.

Or just copy the address in the search bar, paste to your word processor, change the VIN, copy and paste back into your search bar . . .

Also looking at the Fuel Door for $115.00 on JeepWorld.com Part#82210285 Looks like no drilling is required. Anyone had success or failure with these?

Appreciate guys!
A little known fact: using a locking gas cap to prevent fuel theft is a waste of money. To prevent fuel spillage in a rollover, cars have been required for several years to have a check valve in the filler hose. That check valve will not allow a siphon hose to get into the tank. Even if that valve wasn't present, a locking gas cap won't stop a thief and a thief doesn't care a bit about your car. A locking gas cap won't stop a thief with a prybar from removing it anyway and destroying your filler neck in the process. If he doesn't have a prybar, he may have a drill or a hammer and punch and will just put a hole in the tank and let it drain. Would you rather lose your gas or have to replace something more expensive? The only real benefit of a locking cap is that some idiot can't just pour stuff into your tank without a little effort.

Ok Jeepers I've got a new vin number Of course this wouldn't be any fun if I didn't have some sort of adventure right

So the sales guy that I was working with and really liked,he's actually why I went with this dealer, he left the dealership last night The other sales guy has reminded me at least 2 times every time I deal with him that he's only been back with Chrysler for 3 weeks.
He tried to charge me $75 to use the TL program and today when I got my POC they've charged me $20 for gas

Just picked up Jeep 3 hours ago. It took dealer a couple of extra days to get the accessories on but the Katzkin and Pocket Flares are awesome. I will get a pic soon. One little let down is that 730N USB port is defective so I can't get music and pics onto hard drive with USB key. Will burn files to DVD or wait until I can get back to dealer for warranty. Googled problem and seems to happen to some Jeeps and new radio is what most dealers are doing to fix.

Rubicon arrived at dealer today! Insight still shows eta of 8/25. Six days early. I think they are spending less time in Toledo now because mine was loaded on railcar a day after it was built.

Colors

The dealer I visited today had the paint chart. He said the regional person had just been there yesterday to bring it.

Looks like Pat posted some of the colors.

Winter Chill is a silver type color with a blue tinge. (It was very close to one of the Chrysler silver colors, but definitely a blue shade - pale.)

Gecko is bright lime green!!!!!!!!!!!!

Header Orange and Crush are the same. As stated previously, they are just different names for different vehicles. (Mine will be Crush!)

Hope this is helpful.

Did you happen to see the Black Forest Green? Is it nearly black like they appear online?

Thanks.

I'm legitimate. My baby and I are getting introduced. My wife must have noticed because when she moved the Jeep she promptly drove it over the curb on purpose laughing all the time (she's a looong time off roader).

I took my key apart. There is a lot of wasted space. I have a few ideas on making it a lot smaller.

Thank you Sir! I had the panels off before the sun set. This has plenty of power, smooth transmission and a very fun drive. Tomorrow..topless!

Thanks Pat and Bill! Yep, I got the $500 military rebate, but no "loyalty" rebate, since I didn't have a lease. Thanks to EVERYBODY for making this experience the smoothest car buying experience I've ever had, and the cheapest to boot! I'm floored at how much fun the 2012 JKU Rubi's are to drive. I drove around town tonight, just......to drive. My best to all of you!

Another long time lurker (second) time poster. Just picked my sahara tan rubi up today after watching it sit in the local rail yard for a week. Utilizing Insight of course and asking the dealer to just go get it already.

Thanks to everyone's contribution here.

Dom, I see you're getting a new ride after all. My dealer had a 3 day/100 mile satisfaction guarantee. Maybe it's just a Colorado law?

Sticker was $38,090, bought it for a bit more than $1k under invoice ($35,514) including the dealer's $499 doc fee.

No mods yet, but removed all the stickers tonight and added the only one that counts.

I understand......

Register for the forum - check
Read just about every post on the 2012 to become an informed consumer - check
Work with a local dealer to get a good deal that is fair to both - fail. Dealer was an ass (salesman was cool, his manager was an ass). Told him I could get 2% under invoice through agreement with wife's employer and asked him to throw me some kind of bone to meet me somewhere between 1% and 2% under invoice. He says he doesn't even want to sell it to me at 1% and tells me to go elsewhere. So I do.
Place order using knowledge acquired here - check
Get VON/VIN and PM NDRUGBY for tracking - check
Confirm vehicle being built is what I ordered (including 3.73 with Trailer Tow) - check
Asked dealer if I could add Remote Start - said it was too late. Oh well.
23 days later - 2012 Flame Red JKU Sahara waiting for me to pickup
Today was to be pickup day.
Things have been going relatively good to this point...should have been a sign something bad was about to happen

So I'm on my way to the dealer this morning - about 200 mi drive. Not the most convenient, but, I don't mind driving.
I'm 2 hours down the road and I get a phone call.
We have a problem. Although the vehicle has been there for nearly 36 hours at this point, they just noticed some damage to the hood that must have happened during transportation. I ask how bad. They say it isn't perfect, but, it's not bad. There are 3 small scratches on the hood near the windshield bumpers. It's almost like a chain or something was lightly drug across a small section of the hood (damage encapsulated in a 4 inch square area). They start talking a few options and the initial disappointment I was suffering wasn't allowing anything to register. Two initial options that they gave me was to order a new one and do what they could to rush it or give me my down payment back with their apologies and understanding if I wanted to go elsewhere. I told them there had to be other options and I needed some time.
I was far enough down the road and already blew a day off work, so, decided to go the rest of the way to see how bad it was. It really wasn't that bad. But, I wasn't accepting it as it was, my wife and I took a day off work, and it was time to come up with something fair to both sides.
They are going to repair it onsite. It's gonna take a little sanding, repainting of the damaged area, and reclear. They are one of the very few dealers in the Pittsburgh PA area that has an onsite top notch body/paint shop. They are going to deliver it to me. They filled the gas tank (just like I would have today if I was taking it home). They are going to cover the cost to rush the Remote Start parts. They are covering the labor for the Remote Start - I'm covering cost of parts. I signed nothing, so, if something happens in transit, the car is in no way tied to me. They are bringing all of the papers with them when they deliver the car. If I am not 100% satisfied, I sign nothing and am not obligated to take the car. I don't have to take any more time off of work. I don't have to do another 400 mi round trip.
I think this was fair to both sides.
I can't say enough good about the dealer's professionalism and compassion for the situation and their willingness to do whatever it was going to take (within reason and fairness) to make it happen.
For those in the Pittsburgh, PA area, I highly recommend Mick's North Hills Jeep on McKnight Rd in Pittsburgh.

Almost forgot...as I was driving out the PA Turnpike, I saw a truckload of '12 Wranglers - most were Sahara Tan. I smiled knowing that I'm relatively certain at least one of the units on that truck belonged to someone tracking this thread.

That sir is a fine looking Natural Green Pearl Coat! Congrats to you!!! Now go have fun!!!

After day 2 with mine, I am still grinning ear to ear! 250 miles on now, mileage is up to 18.3 (or so the Jeep says!). Took the hardtop off and installed the soft top. It took about an hour and a half. This is my first Jeep, so I was taking it very slow, adding a coat of silicone spray to sliding parts, anti seize to the knurled knobs, etc. Following the advice on a Bestops video, I left the top just laying on the jeep in the sun for a bit. Had no problems then when tightening it down. I have a Sahara. Didn't like the silver piece between the fog lights on the front bumper, so 8 screws later, it is gone (free to a good home if anyone wants it) There is a new subdivision being built near me, just at the excavation stage, so I did then have to go get a little mud on the tires. Nothing radical while breaking in the engine, just a little dirty fun!

Dealer called right around 1830, and drove off with it right around 1930. Posted a probably poorly written review.

Drove to an old buddy's house. He gave me "half a finger" of some whiskey something or other, 12 year. Wet my gums, barely enough to wet the mouth, and that was my toast to it tonight. Don't remember what it was. Gave the rest of it back to him and he added it to his "two finger" shot.

When I checked out the Jeep this morning, well, yesterday morning now I suppose, they let me take the spare key with me, so I had it with me about 7 hours before I drove off with it. Got a little bored at work. Wait, does that make me a MADD Jeeper? "What, me worry?"

After taking the actual key out of it, and laying it on a table, I bet I can reduce the length about 20%, width about 10%, and height about 50%.

And it looks like some more owners are driving off with theirs. Way to go! Well, that can't be right. Not like you actually built it and shipped it yourself. Hmmm..... Congratulations then!
