I got an error the first time as well. I was using a USB drive that I formatted on my Mac. I reformatted as FAT (in Disk Utility) and tried again. It gave me an error, but allowed me to transfer the songs anyway.

One little let down is that 730N USB port is defective so I can't get music and pics onto hard drive with USB key. Will burn files to DVD or wait until I can get back to dealer for warranty. Googled problem and seems to happen to some Jeeps and new radio is what most dealers are doing to fix.

Stuck in Dixiana

Hi guys
I'm stuck in Dixiana Railyard.
It's as bad as Ottawa!
Been there for the last week.
This time last week, I was really sure I'd have her by now for the weekend but no luck.
The dealer is only about 75 miles from the rail yard.
One that came in on the same train was delivered to him two days after we both hit the rail yard. At least it was also a sold unit.
A dealer 20 miles from him received 3 that arrived at the rail yard after mine and were NOT sold units.
Dealer can't seem to help on this.

And mine sits, and sits, and sits, and sits

On the bright side, when does that rebate come out or more importantly, what region are you guys in? If it's for the Southeast, I might as well just wait until sept 1st to check out the rebate.
Actually, at this rate I might be lucky to have it by 9/1.

Thanks for listening!

Lucky for me the regional manager was there and already called someone he knows at HQ with my VON and told him he needs this vehicle here like yesterday. Would be interesting to see how fast this one actually gets here.

Pat thanks for the suggestions and also to everyone else for all the input. Truth be told, I wanted to check out Ottawa since I'm a Nitro Creek graduate lmao. Oh well all you can do is laugh.

Ndrugby I will give you the VIN as soon as I get it now (along with a little $$$) so that we can all see how fast a Jeep placed as high priority can go from built to delivered. Something tells me this is going to be very fast. Can I see a new Jeep in 2 weeks from today? Let's see.
Glad this is going to end well for you! Good luck. I look forward to seeing her, hopefully in person. Send that VIn as soon as you have it!

I got one for $88 from dealer, installed myself. Took 10 minutes max.

Is there another vehicle where within hours of getting it home, people start taking it apart?

I've added grab handles, fuel filler door, mirror replacement brackets, the visor stickers (they look awesome BTW), black mesh grill guard, headrest covers (ND of course!). Many more to come.

Working on that underseat locking storage, getting the bolts off the seats is real pain. Need to get me some new tools to make it happen.

Bumpers - waiting for the new MOPAR bumpers in october. Dealer offered them at cost as part of the deal! So if I like them, I'll buy them!

I hope you're all enjoying your Jeeps, and for those waiting, I wish for a quick and safe arrival of your new ride.

For those wondering about the tran cooler still, here's my manual without one, with the grill off. You can see the brackets on the right there.

Ok . So I test drove a 2012 Sahara and it ran and drove great but the new car / truck smell was not pleasant. How long has it taken you all to get rid of it?

Step 1: Put the rear seats down.

Step 2: Put the dogs in.

Step 3: Go to the beach with the dogs.

Step 4: Put the dogs back in.

No more new car smell.

Thanks.

I am sorry, I did not check that one.

There were quite a few colors that were really dark - to the point of being nearly black. The paint chart was for all of the makes, so it included a lot of colors.

As someone else said, True Blue was a fairly dark blue.

I am sure other dealers have gotten their paint charts now and somebody else can help with the Black Forest Green.

I got it off amazon. It was like $35. 7 pieces of mesh. If I find the link I'll post it.

FYI - priced out a 2012 JKU Sahara using USAA. I am in NJ. Here is what came up.... almost 2% below invoice... Hopefully it will improve over time as the dealers get rid of their 2011s.

I was actually shocked to learn there was even going to be any incentives. Why would they need to do that for the 2012s? But, according to the guy I talked to yesterday, there will be a $1000 "targeted incentive" for USAA customers appearing in the next 2 weeks. Don't tell Chrysler, but I was going to buy one anyway, so I'd call it more of a gift than an incentive...

Well, I went off radar ... been working a ton and enjoying the new Jeep! I picked it up two weeks ago ... since then I put on the grab handles and SpiderWebShade. Trying to get rid of my factory Rock Rails to get the new ones with the tube on the side. I also have a 2nd Freedom Top bag I need to get rid of.

Pics to come later. Heading to a concert tonight, taking the little one bike riding (she just learned!!)

Enjoy your Jeeps everyone!

No idea - I've been 'pending inspection' for over a week and neither Jeep nor the dealer can tell me what's up. Driving me nuts.....

This is probably the first thing I do myself. Well I bought a spare tire cover and handed it off to get air brushed over a month ago. Would have to cut out a little circle for the hood lock, and maybe install two blocks and ties, one for each side of the top halves of the left over mesh. Just can't decide to buy a kit or just go get everything and cut it myself.

Back towards the windshield there a little handle looking thing in the center between the two rubber things the windshield apparently rests on when down. What's that handle for ?

You are stylin' now, bud! Love that look... 2-door tan w/ black top..classic, just like it's owner!

It's amazing how Jeep has retained that classic, utilitarian look, with all the modern comfort and convenience and ability!

Did the dealer put the fuel door on for you at the ±$96 price? If so, good score!

Thanks, Spanky. I dunno what it's called but it's on top of the hood in the center. Just curious. I'll see if I can't find a pic.

If mom would have lived another 6 weeks she sure would be proud of the upgrade.

Can't stop staring at it! Didn't realize just how high I was sitting untill I parked behind the Thing.

That is for folding down the windshield. Or for giving my nephew something to hold onto when I strap him to the hood.
