Yes I just saw that one. Just left Selkirk, NY. It should be at Doremus by tomorrow or Saturday. They don't release cars on the weekend though so it's looking like next week at some point. I'm getting happy again. Those little butterflies in the stomach like when you saw the first crush you ever had lol.

Edit: 5 feet!!!! Yikes maybe a Marauder can. Or an Abrams but other than that you're better off just turning around.

Exactly what I've been looking for! Hope that back bumper has a tire carrier attachment available.

Made a deal with my dealer to let me buy bumpers at cost when they come out. Hope they're affordable.

I bet it is $1k. (front bumper)

After seeing your Bestop Door bags, I looked them up, and I thought they were expensive...expecially since I need 2 pair. Are they of an exceptional high quality?

Then if you work in a high volume dealership all you make are flats [the least you can make on the front of the deal for selling a car] for commission since they want to move metal. Then a new manager comes in and flats go from $100 to $50, because he's the greatest GM in the world. LOL!!!! I sold cars for close to 4 years, new and used, then became a dedicated used car guy. I'll take used sales over new anytime! But I doubt I'll ever go back to it.
This is a good point for everyone on this board. If you’re paying $500 over invoice or less, your salesperson is making a minimum commission of about $100-before taxes. And for that commission, they will spend on average about 8-10 hours from greeting you through the delivery.

It depends on the dealership, they could make even less than a $100, especially if they work for owners/managers like the gems I worked for. The owner of the Kia/Suzuki store I worked for decided to hire a new sales manager, and he cut the flat from $100 to $50 and told us how much more money we were going to make, because he was the "God of Sales Managers". I had all to do not to explode with laughter. I did have a chat with him after the meeting. I'm not sure if Chrysler has "spin" money or if they also pay the salesman seperate money directly like Kia and Suzuki did. I don't want to take this to far OT. But if a salesman isn't jumping through hoops every time you call him/her, understand he/she's got a living to make. They have to sell more than 1 new car a day to eat, especially if they're working on flats with no other money coming from the mfg or the back of the deal.

All he needs is a PM with your email and VIN. And you in return out of the goodness of your heart can make a donation (any amount and it isn't obligatory) to Ndrugby through Paypal. If you have a phone that alerts you everytime an email comes in, you'll no longer decimate your F5 key.

Dom, did you ever get an official word of what the root failure was on your last engine?

I pulled up to the dealership as the hauler was rounding the corner. Got to see it pull on the lot and got a video of it exiting the truck. Will be ready for pickup tomorrow morning, but we won't be able to go get it until after work. I have a feeling tomorrow will be a very looonnnnggggg day.

I did mine today using the rustoleum vinyl and fabric but used gloss black instead of flat. The Jeep decal is on top so I did the lower half and covered the top half with paper and blue tape. It took about 5 coats to cover the advert. You can see the line if up close but if several feet away you can't tell the difference. It sounds like either gloss or flat will work. About $7 from auto zone. There are several other muted colors available.

Not a word. I've been asking so that I can post it here but the Jeep still hasn't been touched. It's sitting in one of the dealer off-site lots.

They're of very good quality. I think Bestop makes very good quality stuff. They were more than I expected. I got them at a bit of a discount. However, with my old TJ, my doors got dogged up more than I would like while off. So for me, the cost is worth it as insurance/protection, especially with my kids running around.

Funny thing is, I wouldn't mind the doors getting all dinged up on a trail. But those are earned. The ones that happen in the garage are not earned.

How are the half-door windows on the highway? I had a 95 and a 2002 with half doors, and at high speed, the windows would flap a little bit... just wondering what to expect....

Not sure if this was posted yet but someone on another forum found the hidden links to building a 2012 on the Jeep website.

Here is the link for the Unlimited Rubicon:

Jeep - Build My Own - Select Model

You can do it for any model by going to the Jeep site for building a 2011 then change the 2011 in the CUJ201107 link to 2012.

EDIT: that's a link for all the Unlimiteds.

Very solid uppers. Almost as solid as full doors. They blow the TJ uppers out of the water.

A'ole pilikia!

True. But now I have my Jeep. So I'm not staring at the screen all day. 1100 miles in two weeks. Yikes. And my commute (the driving portion is only 7 miles RT)

Great! No flapping! Not like my 98 at all. The whole soft top is awesome. Very happy!! More people should try the halves. They are great especially with the uppers off.

2012 is now an option on the mopar-accessories.com site. For those that are interested in Mopar accessories.
