Sitting here in the rain squalls of Lee and discovered both removable hard top panels are leaking. Any tips for fixing is is this just a Jeep thing we have to live with?

Looks like you don't have a lift yet. Any rubbing with the 285/70/ 17 Duratracs? What is the spec on your Pro Comp 1028 wheels? Backspacing ? Is yours wheel 1028 -78573 ?
Thanks.

Thanks! There is no way I could have done black wheels. I was never much of a fan of them, and now that's all you see. If I had an orange Jeep I think I would have gone black, but not with any of the other colors. Maybe tan?

No, I don't have a lift yet. I don't know if we'll do one or not. This is my wife's DD so it will be up to her.

In normal driving the tires don't rub at all. In the pic above with the LR stuffed the tire was rubbing. IIRC, the wheels have 4.75" BS and going with less BS looks like it may have caused the rubbing in that pic to be worse. I believe 1028-78573 is the correct part number, although to actually get them I had to add a -2 to the end of the part number.

They aren't chrome, but look like it! Pro Comp did the best factory polish job I have ever seen. I'm very pleased with the finish.

It goes in the section of the belt that flaps. This is between the belt reel that is mounted on the floor and the bracket/guide that is mounted to the body near your shoulder. I'll try to take some pics tonight and do a write up. I'm curious to see what I'll have to do to disconnect the belt at the floor to take the unwanted and unnecessary twist out of the lap belt, but so far this has been very easy to do.

I ordered my JK 3 months ago today and she is still stuck in Toledo! I would love to talk to the person in charge of delivery logistics.

Us 2012'ers are getting some heat for not wheeling ours. Heres a couple of pics up thru Gunsight Pass in AZ. Easy trail for the Rubi, but still breaking it in. PS, the thing is fantastic!

Mine will be under the torch in the first week of ownership. Offloaded directly afterwards. Just need to get it out of Ottawa

There isn't anyone in charge of delivery logistics. Hence the issue.

You really worry me now!

Every day, Insight pushes delivery date one day later! a week ago, delivery was set for August 29; then it was pushed to Sep 9; earlier today it was Sep 15 and now it is Sep 16! I mean what the heck. It has been showing:

Current
Train Arrival / 09/03/2011 10:40 PM EDT On Railcar - Gibson, IN

Future
Railcar Placed at Destination Facility / 09/12/2011 08:00 AM EDT / Westfield, TX
Unloaded From Railcar / 09/12/2011 03:00 PM EDT / Westfield, TX
Delivered to dealer / 09/16/2011

Hate to say it, but Chrysler may not have pinpoint control of trains. You are on the train, your delivery is in their hands. Insight can only estimate what the trains will do.

What is the key to knowing that my Wrangler is truly on its way to delivery - I have seen a Wrangler with current: Train Arrival / On Railcar - Gibson, IN and Future: Loaded on Railcar / Toledo Supplier Park, OH (this may seem moving backword). I probably should look for another Wrangler thats available on a lot. This is getting really ridiculous (It is like Chrysler does not know how to operate effeciently - If this was the hand built Bentley, it would have been ready by now! Come on Chrysler, wake up and move it!)

The only way to really tell you're having movement is looking at "train arrival" and train departure" updates. A lot of the messages are the trains being placed at a receiving area to either spend the night or get connected to another train. You are clearly out of Ohio. I think you mentioned before that you tracked other vehicles that were delivered to your dealer. With that you should be able to predict your next stop. This was my first Jeep with the last stop being Doremus. After Doremus it gets trucked about no more than 40 miles to the dealer.

http://insightnl.extra.chrysler.com/..._SEARCH_BY=VIN

I know that they can prioritize vehicles because they did it with my 2nd vehicle. You are just lost at this point because the dealer can't call the train to tell them hurry up. I still don't understand why you've been sitting in Indiana for so long. The more predictable status to go by is the current. The future is just an estimate and always changes when the date isn't met.

Mine is not even on the train yet-it's still in Toledo. My Loaded on Railcar date has been bumped 4 days in a row now. My dealership has about 20 2012's on the ground right now and they have ALL been ordered after mine!

How do you predict what stops you will have on your way? My future doesn't have any other cities listed until it gets to Phoenix. I tracked the other Jeeps that are at my dealer and they don't list the cities either.

Now that I think of it, you can't track the next stop. It doesn't save the stops on Insight. However our brilliant leader and his email notifications allow one after delivery to plot the route from Toledo to the distribution center.

Bingo. Train stops show up on Insight only until the next stop. Then they disappear and are not moved to the Past section. So looking at old VINs won't help.

Bummer! I was hoping that you guys had some super secret power that was letting you see this. I am sitting impatiently trying to figure out how many more days till my Jeep is here. I have had a pretty easy time so far, so not complaining, but since I go out of town on Saturday for a week that pretty much guarantees delivery during that time...

I just looked. You're the first one heading to your distribution center of all the ones I've tracked, so I don't have the data for you.

That has pretty much been the mantra for all that took delivery. Even for me my first Jeep sat for a few days before I could get her. Then she left me high and dry at the altar lol. If you do leave before getting it, do yourself a favor and stay away from Insight. You'll just drive yourself crazy knowing that its there and you're miles away. And it will show up the day after you leave to add insult to injury.

Actually we are going to Laughlin to see Gary Allan. I even debated abandoning those plans if she gets here Saturday. But that's silly...right!?! The hubs said he could go get it for me if I wanted, he must be on crack!!! I don't trust him with the keys anymore than the dealer!

She was due in tonight, I'd figured she'd be here tomorrow sometime. Got an update, she's now not due until the 12th. Oddly, a new guy from the dealer called tonight to talk to me and said he expected her tomorrow. She's supposed to be coming by truck... The wait continues... Though if the wait goes the way some here have, I may just be finding one on a lot somewhere. I'm not about waiting 2 additional months to get this Jeep!

I didn't get a call either. Maybe tomorrow. They did tell me that they can get deliveries at anytime including overnight as there's a security guard on the premises and they also have a drop box for the keys. It's also raining cats and dogs in NY as we are getting the remnants of hurricane/tropical storm Lee. I don't think anyone wants to be delivering cars in this crappy weather.

Oh it's been pouring all day here in Maryland too. I don't know maybe the driver didn't want to drive down. Maybe they didn't get his truck filled, though the idea that it would take 6 days to fill it but who knows. Gives the husband a little more time to sell his car I guess. I'm trying to wait nicely...
