It's in this thread multiple times. Search insightnl and you'll find it.

The 2011 are not flat, little curve in them, and the previous few years (07 was it?). You can still fold them down, won't be perfectly flat.

Pretty conclusively stated a number of times by insiders in the know - NO sheet metal changes, period.

To me it's just the opposite. On the Unlimited I think the matching fenders/top look very utilitarian, almost like the Mercedes G-Class. Just $60K or so cheaper.

It looks like a Hummer to me. But to each his own. And the fact that Jeep added more mainstream, mall crawling, creature comfort type features is good for everyone. It keeps the brand successful and around.

Is it August yet?

I don't mean to diss it too badly. When I say pretty, at least it's not outright freakin' FUGLY.

If someone offered to give me one, I wouldn't say no.

The link you quoted is just someone passing on what someone else had posted on Allpar awhile back. I don't think it originated from anyone with reliable information.

I hate being that guy, so I won't be completely. I'll give you the answer. Here you go:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...ml#post1322200

I think everyone should try using the search functions a bit. They can be cumbersome and you won't always find what you want. However, there are over 1000 posts in this thread, the likely-hood that someone has answered any question at this point is really really high! And searching this thread will yield some nice insights into what has and hasn't been posted.

For example, you will also find a post linking you to Milous' site which has more color info to help you out.

Hope this helps.

Went to my dealer today to play around with ordering one... He was on the ordering site and was surprised (as of today) the colors Crush, Gecko, Dozer and Winter something were not listed. He said they were there a couple of weeks ago. WTF??

Thanks for the input. I should have qualified my request by stating that I have kept up with and gone through the posts on the 2012 Wrangler on this site, Milous' site, and others daily for the past month. I have seen your pictures of 2 Jeeps that you state are Crush and Milous' 2 color chips of Crush & Dozer and the color chip sheet from Chrysler. Also saw the video that was supplied by someone of a Jeep representative last year showing a couple of built-up special Wranglers and a few Dodge Rams. In the Jeep rep video the rep states that the bright yellow Jeep, which he called "Crush", might be a future color in the next few years. In Milous' original description of Crush (ie. Graphic Yellow ... which after some checking seems to be a bright yellow), it seemed Crush might be the color in the Jeep rep video which was much closer to Detonator Yellow than the Jeep you said was Crush and the Chrysler color chip picture. Again, that Jeep rep video, your pictures, swatches on this thread, and some written descriptions all are somewhat different and dare I say, can be confusing. I only asked Milous (or anyone), who has presumably seen a real chip or chart, to let me know if the Crush color, or Dozer, was close to Detonator Yellow. I'm anxious just like everybody else to see all the new colors in as close to what they are in reality as possible. Again, thanks for the help and not being "that guy", completely.

I have been reading this forum for several months as I prepare to order my 2012 Wrangler. There is a ton of expertise here and I have made many notes. I decided to join and become more involved I hope.

My question concerns the above. Based on 2011 ordering, the Wrangler Sports S automatically adds the 3.73 rear axle when you select the tow package. Is this a change for 2012 and the 3.73 has to be ordered with the tow package? Any help would certainly be appreciated!

I did want to share this article. I don't think it's been posted.

Spy Shots: 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L Pentastar V-6 Engine, Jeep Wrangler Sahara | Motor City Muscle Cars

"Chrysler / Jeep submitted a 2012 mango tango Jeep Wrangler Sahara for testing and certification in the Chinese market last week. The Wrangler was a LHD unit powered by the new 3.6L Pentastar V-6 Engine, the first sitting of the Pentastar V6 to appear in a Jeep Wrangler. The 3.6-liter will be standard on all 2012 Wranglers and delivers 290 horsepower (216 kW) and 260 lb.-ft. (353 N•m) of torque at 4,800 rpm.

It is coupled with the proven W5A580, a five-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth shifts and optimum fuel economy. The five-speed W5A580 transmission includes adaptive electronic control or Electronic Range Select (ERS) driver-interactive manual control and an electronically modulated torque converter clutch.

Early test report the new vehicle has better acceleration on hwy (they drove it to 190km/hr (118mph)."

A Wrangler going 118 mph!!!!

Welcome. Post 489 says yes, it is automatically ordered with the tow package. You can double check when you place your order.

this thread has me a little worried. 3.6L engine failures right off the factory line on the GC??

Sounds like they were caught by QC, but still sort of scary. read the posts from "gingersnap"

Maybe I'm too much of an optimist, but I think that issue happening in March is better for us. I'd like to believe they would have fixed it by now, or we would have heard about the engine issues on a much bigger scale.

I hope I'm right...
