The dealer I went to in MD cannot seem to find a way to order the 4.10's with the Rubi JKU. There is no DMF option anywhere on their order screen. I suspect there will be many unhappy people when their new A/T Rubi JKU shows up with 3.73 gearing. Can you verify the availability of the 4.10 gears and instruct how to order them?

Also, the max tow package shows up as the only towing option and it does not indicate that it includes the trailer sway damping. It also does not show any additional transmission cooling. Can you clarify that AHQ is the ONLY option and whether it includes the trailer sway damping?

Thanks again for taking your time to keep giving us information. I know how laborious this can be, but I assure you those of us interested in placing orders sincerely appreciate your efforts.

This might be an odd observation, but shouldn't the speedometer in the 2012's read over 100 MPH?

I understand that the Wrangler has all the aerodynamics of a brick wall cutting through the wind, but what was the last engine capable of 283 HP not able to easily go past 100 MPH?

A little pricey, but you have to sit in them for a long time so it's one of those options I'm willing to pay for.
I think you are on the right track on this. I think I'll look into changing my order (D1 at this time). One other question - with the cloth seats do you know if you get the all-black interior? I kind of like the two-tone you get with the leather option.
Thanks again!

Is the 2012 still going to be called JK/JKU or will it adopt a new id badge?

To what purpose? There is no Autobahn in the North American continent.

Milous mentioned a few pages back that there was something up with the ordering system that won't likely get fixed until this week due to the holiday.

This depends on what model you're ordering.

AHQ does not include trailer sway. I'm still trying to figure out why this is the case.

So now that milous has posted invoice pricing we can see exactly what we should be paying right? my build: (these are the invoice prices)

Wrangler sport unlimited: $25,606
S package: $ 1,998
3.73 Gears: $ 45
Infinity speakers: $ 352
Anti-spin differential: $ 263
Dual top group: $ 1,446

That comes out to $29,710, now that minus 1% is $29,413. And that is what I should pay correct? I would really appreaciate it if someone could confirm this for me...

I'm just trying to understand why you would want or need the speedometer to show over 100 MPH.

Thanks Milous and Rich for the Customer Preferred package information.
I think I am going to install a 2"Hitch Receiver and wires myself, at about $100 it just pays for me. I do wonder about the Trailer Swaydoes anyone know if this can be just programmed by the dealer? Is it worthwhile? The most I would Tow is my enclosed 5x8 trailer with my Harley inside, total about 1800lbs.
My other question issue is about the Jeep Loyalty Program. My GC gets returned the 3rd 0f August and I understand I have to pick up the New One by then which is impossible unless they extend the Program.
Anybody have thoughts?
By the way were the Beatles on Ed before or after Senior Wenzes?

$25,606 for Unlimited Sport includes the $800 delivery charge so you are about there...

Add the $75 Affiliate Program Fee which will be included in the "PP" price listed on the factory invoice for your rig. Plus any DOC fees charged by your dealer. Your dealer may waive the $75 fee, according to Pat.

Of course then the state will want its pound or two of flesh!

That base price includes destination. And you may be able to convince the dealer to charge the doc fee without the 75 (per Pat)

The 3-digit code for the new Pentastar 3.6 engine is ERB. The last engine to have that code was the 4.0 In-line Six. The outgoing 3.8 is the EGT.

Right. I went back and checked your 2012 info tread on that 'other' site. I'm used to looking at the pricing the way the factory invoice lists it with delivery as a separate line item. Post corrected.

I am getting the all black interior. I'm not sure about this - but I think that's your choice. If you order tan cloth seats, then you get the split black/tan interior. If you order black seats, then you get the all-black interior. You should check with your dealer. If you're already D1, I don't know what flexibility you have to make changes without going to the back of the bus. Milous or Pat might be better to address that one.

Thanks for your timely reply. I've actually read this, and every other, entire 2012 thread. Ridding myself of the awful transmission in my 2010 has been a focus of my spare time for the last few months. Thanks for taking the time to pull the information from those prior posts into one easy to read place.

I wrote that post in hopes that Milous would take some much deserved time away and answer my queries tomorrow, perhaps after gaining more of his insider information needed to clarify the points I raised.

It sure is in the high tax state of California! But, our sales tax just went down from 8.25 to 7.25 as of 1 July! The state will take in just south of $3,000 on my order... that's more than twice the dealer's profit.. and people call dealers crooks. They are pikers compared to politicians. Can I get an amen on that?

I went back on forth on this, I originally had it separated, but in some systems it comes up together. If everyone would rather see it separated I can do that.
