Pat,

How soon till we have prices, and how soon will the Jeep website update to reflect new model?

Hey Pat, what is needed to place an order? Are they asking for money down? I just need to know what to expect when I start hitting the locals to see what kind of deals I can get.

They will probably want a deposit, shouldn't be more than $500.

Pat, First of all thank you so much for getting all this information together! My question is will all dealerships honor the Tread Lightly discount?

so unless I'm an employee, or a family or friend, I can only get the tread lightly discount which is 1%, correct?

The only argument the jeep has acknowledged so far is that two people removing tops and doors could get us on the road (or off) sooner. The jeep said if we got one, we would have a designated winch to tree person but I think that's just not gonna fly

All dealers should honor the TL discount but since they are a franchise they have the right to not honor it.

The TL/affiliate/friends are all the same. You get 1% of invoice under invoice. The dealer honors it and gets 2% of invoice back. That makes the overall deal 1% of invoice over invoice for the dealer. What I do is give the whole 2% back to you. So it would be 2% of invoice under invoice.

I am probably going to be ordering this week or next. So, I got my TL membership for the 1-2% under dealer invoice price. A refundable $500 deposit seems reasonable. What else do I need to know before sitting down to negotiate a fair deal? I am assuming that I pay Delivery, Tax, title and registration. What other hidden fees will be my responsibility. I will be financing, and paying about half the vehicle price right away. Any traps to watch out for?

Pat, thanks for all the updates. I'm scheduled to order my new Wrangler Wednesday PM. If my dealer won't honor the TL discount, I'll call you to place the order. Heck, flying up to pick up a new jeep and driving it back home would be a fun vacation.

Thanks Pat and thanks for the great info. As soon as you know some prices, could you post some what you're currently selling the various body styles for?

I'm accepting the fact that I'm gonna have to get 4 door because if I don't, my wife will kill me.

Will be pulling the trigger Wednesday after reviewing lift costs.

My wife turned to me after I got home from ordering and asked the following questions:

Dis u get a stick?
Did u get 2 door?
Did u get a soft top and half doors?

I answered yes to all, and she was fired up. I knew I married the right woman. Ok so I'm get half doors later, but it's the same idea.

If you wouldn't mind sharing whom you ordered with; I live in South Jersey near Cherry Hill and would love to avoid the aggravation of negotiating. Did you use the TL discount? I wouldn't mind driving north to save some money

Funny - I was there a week ago and had a total zero as a salesman; if anyone has a rec for a salesman, that would be appreciated.

Also - My lease ends in October; Do I need to order one or will the dealers have a selection by then?

Deliverty/destination is already part of invoice. The only way you should be paying extra is if you have it shipped.

There might be a dealer doc fee. The TL discount has a $75 doc fee that goes to chrysler for the program, if they charge you that don't pay the dealer doc fee. I never collect the $75 Chrysler TL fee.

Ordered - Jeep Wranger Unlimited Rubicon. Finally decided on the Natural Green Pearl Coat.

As stated above, the 430N Media Center was not available. That's really the only thing I'm bummed about.

The only surprise was the Max Towing Option. I was planning on getting the "AHT Trailer Tow Group" but that wasn't available on the Rubicon. the only towing option listed was the "AHQ Max Tow Package". The AHT package was available on other models, but not the Unlimited Rubicon. ???

Now waiting to confirm pricing. This is going to be a long summer.

Ordered from Johnson Auto Plaza, Brighton, CO. Good guys, very simple, painless, and easy process.

Congrats! I'm still on the fence about the COD package. Getting those bumpers straight from the factory might be nice. Finance it and one less Mod to worry about. Might depend on price. Hmm

Dealer said he thinks we probably have all of June before any of these hit D status and this changes can be made until then.

Based on the ordering screens, it looks like you can get any color with the COD package. For the 2011MY it was only available in Black. For me it will depend on what the pricing is. I'm not sure I want the COD branding, but you're right, having the bumpers done from the factory would be nice.

Congrats on your order!

That's what got me thinking. Unexpected.
