Info on polished wheels
A limited number of scheduled stock Sahara Wranglers (JKJP72-74), have been changed. The optional 7-spoke
polished aluminum wheel, (WPT), has been removed and the standard aluminum painted satin wheel, (WF6) has been
added. Tracking code 5P6 has also been added to the orders (07/08/11)
Thanks Pat. Exactly what I was wanting to know.

Hey Pat, what about Sahara Tan being available later in the year. A dealer showed it to me on a computer screen. It was supposedly a news letter or internal dealer news or some such thing??

I haven't seen anything showing it is coming back, I think they would have just kept it instead of getting rid of it.

Thanks for the info Pat.
Sorry the 7 spokes are gone. I am waiting for the BFG (see my signature) so missed out on them.
When you say WF6 has been added is that the same wheel that has always been on the Sahara?

I was going to Order one but they said 6 to 10 weeks so I emailed ever jeep dealer within 200miles and told them what I want and a dealer close had already ordered one and I had it within 2weeks ..

Now I got to lift it and decide if I want 33s or 35s

I was visiting my dealer today ordering my Fuel off road hostage wheels and bridgestone blizzaks DM-V1 tires to put on my stock wheels and we got to talking about colours on the 2012's. He opend up his dealer spec sheets and winter chill was not there and he told me that he was not familiar with that colour and he has not heard any info on it. All the others were listed crush, dozer etc but winter chill was not listed. I just sat there with this dumb look on my face, whats up with that?

UPDATE - 2012 Paint Chart has been added to post #1. This is the same chart that has been circulated before but is of much higher quality. I posted both a Jpeg image as well as the original hi-res PDF file.

I'm intentionally waiting for next spring incentives and rebates (hopefully there are...) so I guess I'll have plenty of color options at that time.

Wondering if this is a good deal on a 2012 Sahara...

Was at a local NOVA dealership today and was offered a little under $37,000 for a 2012 Green Pearl Wrangler Unlimited Sahara; Leather, dual-top (body colored hard top which I'm not that fond of, navi w/ connectivity group, tow pkg). This was offered to me after explaining that I'm a member of Tread Lightly. They told me this was the invoice price and MSRP was around $40k. Sound right??

They also offered me $29k on a 2011 Green Pearl Unlimited w/ Soft Top only and they'd "leather up" the cloth seats for free. No navi or connectivity group. I'd want to get a hard top after market probably.

After test driving both, the 2012 does have significant pickup compared to the 2011 but I'm wondering if the extra price justifies the difference.

So, after rambling, I guess my question is do you think that deal on the 2012 is actually a "deal". My gut is telling me I think they could go lower. Another interesting thing the dealer mentioned was that the 2011 and 2012s were basically priced the same and that the only difference should be the $1000 rebate on the 2011s (which they did apply to the $29K price). Thanks.

Ask them to give you a copy of the invoice. You'll find out immediately if they're playing straight up or not.

From what I see of Winter Chill it looks very 'Chicky' to me. Don't think I'd own one in that color .... but that's just me.

Finally got a color chart, the winter chill is a light silver/blue. Also found out the true blue on the Wranglers is a typo, but I can't get an answer on a dark blue. No one seems to know one way or the other.

Personally I'm pretty fond of the gecko. The black forest green is much darker than the natural green.

The blue for the Chrysler 300 is pretty similar to the winter chill, at least to me when I look at the chart.

Hi

Can You please show a big sample of Black Forest green, I can not see any green in those sample I have seen on the net. Maybe it has to be sunlit to show some green.

Really wanted the Natural Green pearl, still offered on Grand Cherokke and Patriot but not on Wrangler.

Maybe I should wait for 2013 Wrangler, it might have a dark green color that look like green.

Best regards from Sweden

I went down to my dealership and looked at the paint book for black forest green. I know words probably won't help much, but in the indoor lighting it looked almost black. It was almost no different than the black background it was on. Once I took the book out into the sunlight you could see the green come out. It was still a very dark base, but it look like it has flecks of natural pearl green in it reflecting back. Even though its a small sample it I was sold on the color, I'm just not sure I can wait until late September just to place the order so I may have to fall back on a different color. Who knows maybe the ordering for it will open up with the press event

What other currently available color do you have in mind?
The tan leather is driving me to wait for the BFG.

The deep cherry red is my second choice. I'm going with the black interior as I don't like the leather or light colors.

When I finally figured out that the BFGreen was nearly black I jumped on the Nat Green that I ordered but cancelled. Fortunately the dealership never cancelled my order and gave first right of refusal. So I took it!
