Just checked, Deep Cherry Red still comes up with "late availability" and no estimated date yet.

Good to know. I wasn't sure since it listed
CRUSH (production starts 8/22)
HEADER ORANGE CLEAR COAT (production starts 8/22)

When I do a search for Jeep Wrangler Crush all images I find show it is blue

Unless something has changed in the last 24 hrs, your options are either dark saddle leather or black cloth - that's it.

You can get basically any color Katzkin leather you want dealer-installed.

Still no definitive answer to this question.

The above listings just cannot be correct!

Nobody is putting a CLASS V RECEIVER HITCH (over 10,000 pounds rated) on a 2-door Wrangler... Never going to happen!

It was suggested somewhere in the massive 2012 thread that both ATH & AHQ would have TRAILER SWAY DAMPING (BNT). Not so. My JKU Rubi build sheet has AHQ, but does NOT have TRAILER SWAY DAMPING (BNT)

At the time I ordered (6/6) AHT was NOT available on a JKU Rubi, only AHQ.

What are we getting for the extra $50???? Not Trailer Sway Damping, Not 3.73 axles (their std. on the Rubi)

AHQ - Getting less paying more.
AHT - Getting more paying less.

I'd be flaming the idiots at Chrysler on this, not you, Tom!

I read this a little differently in the massive 2012 thread. I interpreted it as Trailer Sway being integrated into/one in the same as the Electronic Stability Control (BNB). I could be just trying to justify the cost though.

But, the cloth seats are black, correct? Just to clarify, I was talking seat color only....

I figured they were like 11. All Black or black with that tiny bit of saddle. Barely noticeable.

That's exactly how I read it. But actual build sheets suggest that is not the case.

Here's part of a build sheet for a JK Sport S posted today:

AHT Trailer Tow Group
APAS Monotone Paint
BABS 160 Amp Alternator
BC2S 600 Amp Maintenance Free Battery
BNBS Electronic Stability Control
BNGS Hill Start Assist
BNMP Traction Control
BNSP Electronic Roll Mitigation
BNTP Trailer Sway Damping

Don't know anymore...

That's that. Now I'm back to wondering why it costs more.

I can't imagine there is any hardware involved with trailer sway. Actually, can you write us an app for that?

Ha! I think someone confirmed your theory. No hardware. Just some programming apparently.

Thanks Bill.

I waded through the entire http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...2nd-94698.html thread and could not make an informed decision on what was what.

All I really want on my 2012 Sahara is a 2" receiver hitch, trailer light hook up and 3.73:1 diff's.

AND want to make sure I am not missing out on the automatic butt wiper hidden in one of the packages.

Jeep has finally corrected their information, "Class V" has been deleted, I have updated the 2012 information list.

Milous, luv ya man, but still clear as mud.

Do both packages come with 3.73 diff's?

What is sway damping?

What are you paying more for with the MAX?

Why is there air?

They brought my walker. I'm going back to my room now.

Is there any evidence that we might see a diesel Wrangler in 2012?

About the tow packages. Has anyone else gotten both the Max Tow and the Tow Group? Our dealer checked both to make sure because he didn't know either. It's not a big deal, I'm just wondering like everyone else exactly what I am getting. I guess I'll find out in a few weeks.

What are you going to do if they charge you for both... you find one installed on the jeep and the other boxed in the rear of your jeep?

I guess they can put one in the front and one in the back. Ha ha. Actually they did charge me for both. On the POC they have Max Tow as $320 and the Trailer Tow Group as $25. I think Milous said awhile back that you can get both. There sure was a lot of confusion when we ordered on what the tow groups were.

Visited with a very helpful Jeep sales guy today. He clarified the towing groups.

According to him the two packages are basically the same except:

AHT Trailer Tow Group has the Sway Damping and NO 3.73 axle.

AHQ Max Tow Package includes the 3.73 axles

Pretty much what Milous says above but for some reason hearing it with my own ears it sunk in better.

He also said for about $28 more on the Max Tow Group you can have it all!

So, is Sway Dampening just a software upgrade? Im assuming it just operates off the anitlock braking system. If so, seems like this could be "installed" at the dealer. I ordered max tow only.

AHT Tow Package not available on JKU Rubi. AHQ Max Tow only.

JKU Rubi already has 3.73 axles standard, so the equipment listed as provided with AHQ for $320, a Class II Hitch & wiring harness, is about a $100 retail value + 15 minutes to install. There has to be - better be - more to it than that!
