I'm new to this site as well, but it seems to be my crack right now! Ordered my 10a ten days ago. But found this pricing guide on autospies. It may help you out...wish I had it before I worked with my dealer. Good luck!

What do y'all think about the rock rails. Will the work for a step or will I need one worried about dragging my butt on the seat and adding premature wear to it. Is their any kind of step to add with rock rails.

Hi Pat, question.... Took a look at this link and my order which is currently in BX status and realized the Supplemental Side Air Bags option CJ1 is not listed on my order and I want. How far into the process can changes be made? I'll be at the dealer 1st thing in the morning! Thanks in advance....

Is there an official price to the 10th Anniversary Rubicon Hood yet? Or is it just estimated? (I do prefer this hood over the AEV and others).

You can change order options until you are in D status...most likely you are not in D, so shouldn't be a problem to change the order.

Starting to second guess myself. I'd like some input on fender flares. I have a color matched hardtop coming (black), with the plastic fenders. Was looking at having some contrast, however, am now considering the painter fenders instead....anyone having, "been there, done that" advice would be appreciated. Decisions, decisions, which it would just get built.

I went with the painted fenders because if I change my mind later, it will be too easy to get black fenders rather than anvil fenders. I had an 08 Sahara and the third day after I bought it new, I drove that $34000 jeep right to a trail and got some trail rash. It was all minor stuff that didn't show on the rescue green fenders much at all. And unlike the black fenders, the color didn't fade. On the 10A, I went for stuff that would be harder, or more costly, to get later.

I had understood that the 10A hood and bumpers were going to be VIN specific parts. In other words, if you don't own a 10A, you can't order these parts and make your own 10th Anniversary Jeep.
I might be mistaken, but i thought Pat confirmed that some time ago.

Would make sense to limit key/distinctive parts to only those individuals that bought the actual model vehicle they were designed for. Harley does the exact same thing with their CVO line of bikes.

This is a good thing for both the manufacture and the buyer. For the buyer it keeps your limited edition special and helps it hold its value over time. For the manufacture, since it does the above for the buyer, it makes them more desireable and easier to sell, not to mention allows them to charge more for them.

If you get a 10A VIN, you can order the parts. A dealer will walk out to a Sahara on their lot and get the VIN if they need to order Sahara specific parts for whatever reason. At least that's what a dealer told me he does. So I'm guessing it can work the same for a 10A, you just need to get your hands on a VIN....

If you go to a dealer's parts counter to order parts for any JK, they'll ask for the VIN.

I also wanted a little contrast and so got painted top and black fenders. It looked great in the promo pics and video so I was sure I would like it. After weeks of waiting and seeing literally thousands of pics of JKs I am a big fan of how the winter chill arctic edition looks with painted fenders so I contacted my dealer a few days ago to have them change my order to painted fenders, clear coat scratches be damned. I am happy I second guessed myself and like Drmad7 says, you can always but black fenders easy. I will probably just keep my eyes open for some take offs and just keep them in reserve.

I ordered painted fenders for the same reason, only $170 more, and black ones are way easier to find (not to mention much cheaper) if I decide I hate the painted fenders. I am a little worried about them scratching/cracking, but if that does end up happening, I guess it's time for steel fenders!

I really hope this doesn't happen often. I guess I am too naive to imagine the rest of the world follows the rules. Comparing the 10A to a Sahara isn't the same, Comparing it to the COD would be different. I am sure dealers have done it (and will likely continue to do it), just a shady way to do business. Another reason why I couldn't work at a car dealership!

I think the coolest thing would be for them to stick with their word and only build the 5000 for US orders and those all get bought by customers before the dealers even have a chance to get one and jack the price way up.

I say go for it and you will always be able to sell it for the same or more money than you paid I would think. I was just checking on the selling price on my 09 in case I had to sell it to get my 10a and it is going for low of 15975 and high of 18975 when sold by myself to another person. Since I only paid 17999 when I bought it that is pretty good for the X model. My banker told me I don't need to worry about selling it so that is even better because I sure didn't want to get rid of it.

I really doubt it is in JS, but stranger things have happened.
Did you guys ever figure out if the JS status was correct?

Just got back from dealer and they tried to change my order to add the painted fender flares. The Sales Mgr said he wasn't able to change it but he called some corporate guy that he said would take care of it, and to check back with him tomorrow, but all should be well. I had not received a VIN yet so should be ok. I think it makes sense for only $178 invoice to go with these and if i ever need plastic to replace they are easily obtainable. Thanks for input Doctor and Matt.

Agreed - I've had one for a couple of years for my TJ hardtop - need to find out if I can use the same on the new 10A hard top or if I'll need some different hardware to fit the JK hardtop

Either way - great investment

Been looking for something to let me attach additional lights to the front bumper of the 10A - possibly in combination with a brush guard, etc to protect the top of the winch and possibly add some lights but I don't know if anything exists for these bumpers yet...

95WA45, I just left my dealer and he is acting like he can't make changes to the order because it is now "C" status? Have you seen or actually heard of changes in "C" status? If I order another I'm sure there will be more of a delay.

Changed my color from Billet while in a C status.
