As for exhaust, it is my opinion that this is the first wrangler since the old v8's that have an engine worth making louder. I know some won't agree with that but lets see, you had a minivan engine, then a tractor engine, and a little four banger that didn't make enough power to get out of it's own way. None of them made noises worth amplifying in my opinion.

This 3.6 pentastar is in a different league altogether I think. It makes good power and sounds good doing it if you let it. I've looked around pretty extensively and from what I've found AFE is getting my money. Here's a clip:

Thanks for the post. Very cool! I have not had a jeep before so I had been wondering about exhaust systems.

Finn Sizzle, I don't think we have to worry about us both showing up in the same parking spot or trails with white 10A's...I'm in south Flroida

I have owned numerous jeeps in the past from CJs to TJs and now JKs and the 4.0 will go down as one of the greatest engines jeep has ever produced! And statistically as many years as it was produced numbers don't lie in regards to reliability. Anything else will have to be around more than a few model years to ever change my opinion on the reliability and longevity of any other engine produced by Chrysler.

Check this site out, this guy has some good reviews of jeep products including CAI and exhaust. I think it sounds good and dont really care if it adds HP, just wouldnt want to void any jeep warranty by installing.

Thanks BoDog20, I book-marked it o peruse this weekend. Speaking of warranties another forum member asked about buying a Jeep extended warranty package several paes back which I think cost around $1800. I don't remember seeing any replies if it is worth it, advisable or not. I'm sure it is a matter of personal choice, but since most everybody else has alot more experience with Jeep products here than me, I wonder if anyone really thinks it would be smart to get the coverage.

You are correct about the polite response. However, Jeep has made a lot of adjustments to the JK over the model years, they take that from the customers comments. So the statement on logging the request was positive, after all they have done it before with the MW3 and Jamboree edition. So is it silly? At least I tried and I didn't criticize in the process.

What have you tried? :-)

My dealer said the 7 year 100,000 max care was 1800 and the lifetime unlimited mileage max care was 2,500. Unless alot of people sway me with their horror stories and bad dealings with it, I am going to purchase the 2,500 package when my 10A comes in. 2,500 wont fix much on an engine, transfer case, axles or tranny. Just my opionion, take it for what its worth.

I got the max care for $1895, which is 'dealer cost', and the same thing on my last Jeep purchase. They will give you the low price, you just have to work them some.

Slightly off topic: For those East Coasters going to the New York Auto Show to check out the 10a, I found discounted train and event tickets on the Metro North site MNR Getaways. Wih the production delay, I guess my first in person view of the 10a will be at the show

Dancing Days are here again

Hi everyone,
I just called the dealer and was given my von number.
I ordered on 02-08-13. I was just getting the soft top.
However, thanks to this site. The dual tops are cheaper for the 10a.
My Rubicon cost was $2,085 MSRP. The 10a is $1,500 for both. So, I was able to change it and have both tops. Also, I would have to spend a lot of money for after market top.

Thanks to the community and I love my Jeep.
Mark
