The fact that 2000 were sold within the first 10 days made me fearful of a sellout, so I went for it. But when see your 10A in person for the first time( and two days earlier than the guy that ordered yesterday) you'll forget about all of this. I promise. Kinda.

Limited availability of "black" seats.

OH, wait a minute, now you can get them for the duration on pre-sell orders.

Limited production so we needed to get our orders in before they were all gone.

OH, wait a minute, no total production number in concrete yet and said to be in production until June. Then again who believes Jeep's production time anymore.

Dealers might try to jack the price to a premium above MSRP.

Well, it doesn't seem that way so far.

I guess we would have been as well off to have ordered last week, but we all have just enjoyed having the "carrot" dangled in front of us for two months with no way of reaching it, LOL. We might get them a week before the new orders since we jumped through the ordering hoops to get in line 45 days prior to dealer orders, but then again it probably depends on where your dealer stands on his quota as to when the order sees production.

No advantage to the early order. No extra perks or quicker production, OH WELL, I've been BSed before in life. Not the first time and not the last.

Nice video! Looks like the fairlead is black vs the red shown at the LA auto show. Looks good but I like the red one better.
Can't wait to drive mine......maybe late April.....early May.....

I ordered my wife a 10AJKRU on 1/31 in anvil. She is now telling me she wants a dual top and painted fenders added on. At C status now and the dealer says this will put my order at the end of the line. Does anyone know if this is true? As long as they can guarantee I will get my jeep I don't care if I get pushed back. The other option is to skip painted fenders and order a soft top from dealer but that will cost an extra $500.00. Problem of waiting so long is gives you more time to change your mind.

All Chrysler cares about is lining their own pockets. Clearly we have as much value to them as their word does to us, NOTHING. The days of a company having integrity and valuing their loyal customers is a thing of the past.

I'm sure the reason there is so little official word from Chrysler about this whole process is so they can do whatever they want with regard to the 10A. Why should they let standing behind what they say to us get in the way of increased profits? If they never put anything into writing, they can never be legally bound to stick by it.

What would it take to make it right from Chrysler? Maybe they will read these forums and give us a hook up if we ordered before 3/4... Ok, now I am dreaming

For me, all will be well in the World when my '13 JKUR 10A arrives as expected, and I hand over the $um I've agreed. Birds will sing, the engine will purr, I'll run over every damn pothole, and might even let out a hoot as I smile all the way home! Besides, if they push this out long enough, I might even manage to get the Freedom Tops off on her maiden voyage!

I'd say production on the 18th will boarder being a make or break type thing.

I ordered on the first day 1/15. I recieved an e-mail on 1/17 stating production scheduled, parts available and dealer has quota available.

Jeep ran pilot builds in early Feb. acording to Archer, and again a few days ago according to Pat.

The 18th will be 61 days since order opening. Considering the only difference between the 10A and a standard Rubi going down the line is hood, bumpers,EVIC and springs this was more than ample lead time. If Anvil paint is the hold up, why not make it later production by the two weeks and run the other "standard" colors which are already in use daily (putting on flame suit).

It's too late to change to a standard Rubi as the 18th would be quicker than a new order would see production. Although if I had done that on the 15th I would have it now.

If Jeep delays us again I may have to cancel and walk away, then find a different vehicle. I use my Jeep to tow behind a motorhome and the travel season is almost here. If delivery doesn't happen till April then I have missed a travel opportunity while my daughter is out of school for spring break, or will have to rent a car at destination. Any further push back puts us into May deliveries, it takes a while to set-up the vehicle for towing.

I missed a lot of travel time last year due to a defective Jeep vehicle. I figured everything deserves a second chance and lemons happen now and then (my last lemon was a Ford in '98). Jeep really isn't helping to build my confidence with this unit, especially after all the hoops I had to jump through with the last one.

I thought about this as well, maybe they were over-whelmed with pre-orders and did not have enough hoods, bumpers, Evic or any combination. Maybe the computer did not like the New EVIC.

Too many variable, the way I see it is if delay is because of a problem they found out during the pilot builds. I would rather wait the extra 2 weeks then get my vehicle 2 weeks early and then get a recall for some reason. Not to say that this wont happen anyway but it appears that something is delaying the scheduling. Who really knows since Chrysler has this buttoned up pretty tight... At least publicly

For now I am just going to have positive waves. Over the years my jeeps have been good to me as long as I was good to them. This 10A will be my 5th I have owned, and when I put a wrench on it, this jeep will be #100 that I will have worked on. So I am really looking forward to my new friend.

Hopefully our 10A units will not have the same underbody rust issues that some of the other 2013 JKs are seeing. I feel bad for this guys. They are seeing way too much rust.

Thought that with the new way of painting rust issues were dramatically reduced.

Modern manufacturing works on the JIT system (just in time). Therefore the factory never has the parts for all pending orders in stock, only for what they are building in an allotted time period.

So if they have a finite amount of parts, building what they have stock for makes more sense than sitting on all orders until more parts are ready. Then again one of the suppliers on the JIT chain may not have met their deadline for initial qauntity and delivery.

Any compatability problems with the new EVIC should have been ironed out within engineering and testing, not on the assembly line.

If I recall correctly (from here in the thread), one of our 'trusted sources' attributed the two week delay (3/4 to 3/18 ) to a "very minor" issue, that I took to mean something small discovered in the pilot builds, and would be corrected for production. It's all good!

OK, just got some status (IAMJEEP) Still in C, BUT she said my C date was at approx 30 days to build date, and i will be at that stage in "1 DAY". So, in a perfect scenario i should see a change very soon, but as mentioned we know many variables are possible, parts, etc. Let's hope all keeps chugging along towards production. Fingers crossed.

That's what I'm hoping for as well. I am not in a huge hurry to take delivery. There are several fairly substantial issues that have shown up on the forums for the 2013's: 6-Speed Transmissions issues (I know someone personally with this issue as well), non painted / rusted underside, stress cracks on windshield, etc.

Hopefully since ours are getting built so late in production, all of these issues are ironed out and fixed before we take delivery, if not - thats why they have a warranty, just a pain to get a new vehicle fixed.

Original date was 1/21/13, and a change date of 2/27/13 (4dr, black/red). It showed i had gone to D until the change, and has been in C since. My guess is it will be built starting tomorrow (without my knowing), and on the lot here in Va by the last day of this month.....really......

Well after ordering on 1-28-13, I called IAMJEEP and they see me in the system! And I'm at BX! That's like the front of the line right?! Right!? Just kidding. Even the nice lady on the phone said "I've never seen this status. It's waiting for allocation." She never seen it because most orders only sit in this status for a very short time! I'm closer to joining Parker65 on the dark side. But I'll just keep hoping that VOTS continues to be hit and miss and that my 10A will be built by the Friday of the first week! It could happen!

Based on how many Wranglers they can build in a single day, if they exclusively build just the pre-sale 10A Jeeps, they should have no problem building them all the very first week.

Considering how poorly this whole process has been handled by Chrysler, that is the very least they can do for all of us that ordered them during the pre-sale and have been waiting weeks.

Now for all the misinformation and broken promises on the 10A, Chrysler should be providing priority delivery of each and every one of these 10A Jeeps.

We have waited long enough already, we should not have to wait for the standard snail pace delivery of these special Jeeps. There is no place in the contiguous states that should take longer than 5 days to have it delivered to, period.
