I want to put word out about the dealer i have been working with, so that others in my area that have a decision to make about which dealer to buy from, they know what to expect.
Also, if anyone from Park Jeep or Chrysler reads these forums... let it be known...
[*]I have purchased four Jeeps from Park Jeep in Burnsville, MN. This 10A will be my fifth. Given this, i expect to at least be acknowledged as a valued customer, meaning that i should feel like Park Jeep appreciates me returning to spend $40k+ on a Jeep every two years.
[*] Park Jeep had no knowledge of the 10A or the options available. The sales guy emailed me several times saying 'lets get your order in', only for me to respond each time with 'Please send me a list of the options - i cant order if i dont know what they are'. Recall that at this time (early jan) we didnt know if the winch, etc was an option, so i needed to rely on the dealers expertise to correctly order a 10A.
[*] It took over two weeks for me to get the options from the dealer, and by that time i had all the info i needed from this forum, so clearly the info was available to the dealer. Why they couldnt provide it to me is a mystery.
[*]The sales guy got my order wrong. He ordered painted fenders when i sent a detailed, bulleted list of EXACTLY what i wanted. Painted fenders is a separate line item, and was not in my list. Still he screwed it up.
[*] After eight weeks (he said it would be delivered in 6-8 weeks) I emailed and called my sales guy to get a status update. I was NEVER called back and never received an email response. I called and emailed the General Manager at Park Jeep asking about my status, and also asking whether or not my sales guy still worked there - after all, why wouldnt he respond to a simple customer inquiry? The GM (Mike Choe) also never responded.
[*] A week later I called the dealership and caught the sales guy. He said he knew nothing about the status of my order but was going to speak to a Jeep rep and would get back to me. He never got back to me.
[*]
NO, the the things above arent life and death issues, i know that. But we're talking about simple communication - common courtesy, that is all.
I am self employed, and if i ran my business the way Park Jeep run theirs, i'd be living in cardboard box under a bridge. So tell me Park Jeep, why would I, or anyone EVER buy a car from you when we have several options in our area? You provide ZERO value in the process - in fact, you make it more difficult that it needs to be. I cant wait for this transaction to be over, so i never have to think about what you'll screw up next, or how ill be frustrated because Im not important enough to return a simple phone call. I will buy more Jeeps, but never again from you.
