Hey guys,
Thought that I would start this thread in anticipation of the 2013 Anniversary Rubicon.
Im excited to see what Jeep has come up with to make this Rubicon "limited".
Hopefully its more than just some AEV bolt ons like the COD was.

Please feel free to post what you believe it might look like or any info you may have on it.

Hopefully Pat will post some info this month on this thread about the new Rubi.

If this Rubi is as great as I hope, Ill be trading my fully moded 2012 JKUR in on one.

Here is the pinch seam, it looks trimmed to me (and sealed with foam?). The rails extend beyond the seam so they would cause clearence issues.

rubiconman: I'm not qualified to answer your question but if you tell me what you want measured I'll do it!

I do have the max tow package if that influences "rake". I still think the jeep is pretty level and the flares just have different wheel gap. From the ground to the hardtop the back measures higher than the drivers door area if that helps.

Regular black scissors jack.

Coupon is good for the household, I was fortunate enough to receive one a week ago.

Anyone know what was in the 8" x 6" plastic bag I found in the console? It is marked "leave in vehicle for customer use" and has various number sequences on it. I googled the numbers, but that was no help.

Yes my name was on it, I forget if the address was on it. It had some number codes that the dealership needed. They did tell me they can check the computer system to see if you have one. They said people throw them out a lot of times not realizing what it is. Mine came in the wrangler brochure with the green (color not offered) jeep on the cover, someone posted a picture before.

It's like Christmas around here with all of the boxes in the back for the soft top and bags full of grab handles!
This was in the glove box...look at the bottom right corner :)

I'm curious what it takes to trigger a coupon. It has to be a combination of selections that would flag the mailing house to print and drop in a coupon on a specific brochure or mailing.

I've been selecting purchase within 1 month I haven't received any brochures.

I just sent two new requests using my girlfriend and my mothers name using my address... This time I selected purchase in 4 to 6 months.

Let's see if this works.

The green jeep brochure was designed for the coupon. I would guess all of them have it. The coupon was small credit card sized, made of heavy stock paper, like the fake credit cards they send through the mail with credit applications. It had a place in the brochure that it was glued to with that rubber sticky glue they use in mailers.
I asked for brochures back in november then again in early March not sure which one triggered it.

Hello Maxum, yes I have one ordered, I am in the GTA.

4dr, auto, anvil, red, nav, remote, dual tops. Ordered 9 feb.

I didn't want the nav or remote but it seems it comes with it. I was told I could only get standard at first but then sales managed confirm I am getting an auto.

I was told mine will be one of the first 12 in Canada. I did see there is someone from Alberta that had posted awhile ago that he had ordered one also.

Where are you?

I want to put word out about the dealer i have been working with, so that others in my area that have a decision to make about which dealer to buy from, they know what to expect.

Also, if anyone from Park Jeep or Chrysler reads these forums... let it be known...

  • I have purchased four Jeeps from Park Jeep in Burnsville, MN. This 10A will be my fifth. Given this, i expect to at least be acknowledged as a valued customer, meaning that i should feel like Park Jeep appreciates me returning to spend $40k+ on a Jeep every two years.
  • Park Jeep had no knowledge of the 10A or the options available. The sales guy emailed me several times saying 'lets get your order in', only for me to respond each time with 'Please send me a list of the options - i cant order if i dont know what they are'. Recall that at this time (early jan) we didnt know if the winch, etc was an option, so i needed to rely on the dealers expertise to correctly order a 10A.
  • It took over two weeks for me to get the options from the dealer, and by that time i had all the info i needed from this forum, so clearly the info was available to the dealer. Why they couldnt provide it to me is a mystery.
  • The sales guy got my order wrong. He ordered painted fenders when i sent a detailed, bulleted list of EXACTLY what i wanted. Painted fenders is a separate line item, and was not in my list. Still he screwed it up.
  • After eight weeks (he said it would be delivered in 6-8 weeks) I emailed and called my sales guy to get a status update. I was NEVER called back and never received an email response. I called and emailed the General Manager at Park Jeep asking about my status, and also asking whether or not my sales guy still worked there - after all, why wouldnt he respond to a simple customer inquiry? The GM (Mike Choe) also never responded.
  • A week later I called the dealership and caught the sales guy. He said he knew nothing about the status of my order but was going to speak to a Jeep rep and would get back to me. He never got back to me.

NO, the the things above arent life and death issues, i know that. But we're talking about simple communication - common courtesy, that is all.
I am self employed, and if i ran my business the way Park Jeep run theirs, i'd be living in cardboard box under a bridge. So tell me Park Jeep, why would I, or anyone EVER buy a car from you when we have several options in our area? You provide ZERO value in the process - in fact, you make it more difficult that it needs to be. I cant wait for this transaction to be over, so i never have to think about what you'll screw up next, or how ill be frustrated because Im not important enough to return a simple phone call. I will buy more Jeeps, but never again from you.

You are not alone.

Two things...

Do you have a portable air compressor for your tires when you go out on trails to put air back in when you're done?

Someone mentioned a Jeep wave to a fellow jeeper they were passing. Is this really a thing for people driving Wranglers? I know bikers do the ground point thing...

I don't want to start a debate... However, I ordered mine with the 730 Nav. I had the 730 in my SRT8's and was OK with them... Bluetooth, traffic, etc.

I see the user interface of the 430 and like the color and layout.. But never thought to compare.

Did I go wrong? ... is the 430 a better match for the JKUR?

Bid differences between 430 & 730 are the 430 uses Garmin maps (nice) the 730 uses NAVTEQ. The 730 allows for live weather and traffic, the 430 does not. I have the 430 in my 2012 Arctic but have always wanted the 730 ... If the dealer is right, on 4/9 will when I pick up my 10A and trade in the Arctic I finally will.

We have both. I have a 730N in my '07 and the missus has a 430N in hers. They are different. Music goes on the 430 easier. My Nav can use the breadcrumbs feature off-road. Hers has the speedometer on the display. Hers is Garmin. mine is Navteq. They are completely different, yet both are myGig. The Bluetooth is integrated in the 730, needs a separate module for the 430.

I can go on a bit more. You can PM me if you want all I have.

Why should they care about how they treat you if you are still going to buy from them?

Go to a different dealer.

Does anyone, including representatives from Chrysler/Jeep, know in what order 10As are being built?

I placed my order for a JK 10A as a "PRE-SALES" order, back on 01/19/2013. The "PRE-SALES" tease appears to have no weight. I realize there was a delay in obtaining a VIN for Anvil orders, but I have been in "Production Scheduled" status for weeks.

(Refer to post #1670 in this thread for options ordered)

Based on posts, it appears all four colors are rolling off the assembly line and finding their way to owners and/or dealers.

- Are only JKUs being built?

- Are orders being processed based on a regional basis?

- Are there kick-backs involved to obtain faster production status?

- Are units being built on a first-come/first-ordered basis? If not, why not?

- Are only black interior units being built?

My UPS and FedEx guys are getting tired of delivering accessories that I have ordered for a 10A that is still in an unknown status. I'm getting depressed every time I go to VOTS and have no new information, yet I see others posting pictures of their new 10A. What happened to transparency and accountability Chrysler/Jeep?

PS - Chrysler/Jeep, I am one of the many on this forum that assisted in your survival during the recent dark years...
