The dealer I ordered my 10a from had a Oscar Mike version in Billet on the showroom floor. It is brighter than the pictures you are seeing on the web and in the brochures. I ordered Billet, but am not crazy about it. I can live with Billet, but am not sure I could live with Anvil if I didn't like it when it arrived. Never had a chance to see Anvil at an auto show, so I took the safe route. May regret not getting Anvil, but not brave enough to order it sight unseen.

It appears Chrysler is buying back my 2012 since its been in the shop for a very long time. Therefore, I put a 10a on order today. In the Dealer Connect system there was not an option to add the Warn winch. Will that be a dealer add item? Also, does the connectivity group give you Bluetooth audio streaming with the 130n?

went to the dealership today to learn what I could. Had him part out a white 2-door 10A with body color top and fenders, and the auto transmission. 40k even MSRP, 37326 invoice. He didnt seem like he was able to go below the 1% on the invoice, but i didn't push him as I was just looking for ballpark figures. Also, apparently this dealership asks for 1k deposit, versus another I talked to would do it for 500. What did everyone else do for deposit? Also, how hard did you all push beyond the affiliate price? he seemed to think that he could make it up by getting me a better deal on my trade in.

If all looks good, I could be ordering this weekend (especially if can do the 500 vs 1k deposit).

Standard around here is 0-500 deposit and 2% under invoice plus or minus 1%

I got 500 deposit and 2.6% under invoice, no trade.

We had to put a $1000 down. They wouldn't come below 1% for us at all. Maybe we should've tried to play them against another dealer but oh well.

My dealer required 5000.00 down since this was a special edition. They weren't sure they could sell it if I decided I didn't want it. I ended up getting a little better than 1% under invoice (I've been a member of tread lightly for a few years now) another dealer 1.5 hours away wanted 1.5k deposit but would not drop below 1% under invoice.

The steering wheel controls for the stereo are not included with the 130n, right? I swear I read that on this forum somewhere back in our early days.

I too was also leaning towards installing an iPad to control the stereo and nav like Doc (check out a YouTube video of it, it's pretty impressive) but I'm so damned spoiled by by current car's steering wheel controls...

Just reading over Jeep Fact #132 pdf that I think Pat posted ages ago. I was trying to be pissed off about black leathergate. However, it only stated "Exclusive black leather seat option for pre-sell orders ONLY!". It seems even now they require sold orders for black leather and production hasn't started so these are all still pre-sell technically.

To go on record I didn't even order the black leather but it seems like the entire ordering process for the 10A Jeep is completely fudged up.

On a side note I can only think of the Simpson's Canyonaro episode when I read the quote on Jeep Fact # 132
"This thing won't be stopped. It is easy to see why Jeep drivers can suffer occasional blast of hubris--the Wrangler Rubicon[10th Anniversary] makes the driver feel like it can do anything." - Pop Mechanics

Let Hank sing a song while we wait on those VINs

"Can you name the truck with four wheel drive, smells like a steak and seats thirty-five. Canyonero! Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down, It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown! Canyonero! 12 yards long, 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of American Pride! Canyonero! Top of the line in utility sports, Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts! Canyonero! Canyonero! She blinds everybody with her super high beams, She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine, Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero! Whoa, Canyonero! Whoooooaaaa!"

A lot of jeep dealers in SoCal - I talked to four nearby before placing my order and here is what I heard:

Dealer 1. $500 deposit, $500 below invoice, no prior orders or knowledge of 10a
Dealer 2. $500 deposit, $1,000 below MSRP for the 10a and $500 below invoice for anything else, 1 prior 10a order. Firm on pricing.
Dealer 3. $500 deposit, $500 below invoice but signaled willingness to go much lower on most vehicles, no knowledge of 10a, tries to sell me a rock lobster moab at 6k below MSRP
Dealer 4. No clue about the 10a or how to order, could not give me a quote. Generally $500 below invoice for orders.

I ended up with dealer 1 and am hoping to apply conquest cash and hopefully get one of those golden tickets with a brochure. It seems the market around LA is 500 deposit/500 below invoice as a starting point. I could see smaller market/smaller volume dealers requesting a larger deposit, but high volume dealers shouldn't expect more than $500

Yes my 2012 had the 130n with steering wheel controls, just not the connectivity group, which adds the Bluetooth and USB port. I am sure most everyone on this thread already knows the 10a comes standard with the 130n and connectivity group. I had the 430n in another vehicle and didn't think it was worth the cost. If I decide later to upgrade, I will throw the new Pioneer 8500/5500 series in the dash and your ipad/ phone will always have the latest GPS maps...

Steering wheel controls will come standard on the 10A as it is the connectivity group. The 130 and connectivity group are separate in the other trim lines and is an option but this is not the case for the 10A

I will go see it in person at the dealer first. If it is a lighter silver color, then it is not what I want. I like the darker grey look. Thanks.

Not letting you off the hook that easily. :-)

If the Billet is indeed a light silver, I will probably stick with the Anvil. I just wish I had an accurate idea of what Anvil is really going to look like.

Its not dark gray or light silver.... my 10A Billet will be monotone.

That is actually pretty nice. I guess I really need to see it in person - preferably on a nice day. The weather here in NJ has been miserable lately.

Thanks,

Mike

Billet Silver has a lot of flake and since its metallic paint it will reflect surrounding light ...

Anvil is solid enamel like the Bright White ...

I like all three.. however Billet will look more sophisticated in monotone.

Similar when you see a pewter metallic G500.

$500 down & 4% below invoice. I called several dealers & told them I'm ordering today if they can do 4% under. The first one to call me back was the local dealer. Done.

Look at post 2077 from Moabite, those are color certified billet shots. Gives you a better idea of what it will look like.
