went to the dealership today to learn what I could. Had him part out a white 2-door 10A with body color top and fenders, and the auto transmission. 40k even MSRP, 37326 invoice. He didnt seem like he was able to go below the 1% on the invoice, but i didn't push him as I was just looking for ballpark figures. Also, apparently this dealership asks for 1k deposit, versus another I talked to would do it for 500. What did everyone else do for deposit? Also, how hard did you all push beyond the affiliate price? he seemed to think that he could make it up by getting me a better deal on my trade in.
If all looks good, I could be ordering this weekend (especially if can do the 500 vs 1k deposit).
Closest dealer wanted $500 down and would only take $400 off invoice price.
Complained to 2nd dealer about deposit from first dealer and mentioned the fact that members of WranglerForum were getting around 2-3% below invoice. They knew they could sell it if I didn't follow through, so NO deposit and we ended up at 3.9% below invoice. This dealer is in Springfield Ohio and first dealer is in Columbus.
BTW, every dealer can do Tread Lightly or lower pricing...if they want to.
How in the hell can someone that ordered on 2/25 and changed order in march be recognized before an order placed in Jan? Its scary to drive a vehicle at 70 mph built by these folks. Unbelievable
BG, obviously because we have complained less on the forums Sorry, had to.
My bet, check throughout the day, my last name starts with a C, maybe they are going alphabetically to enter them into the system. Just because I got scheduled early DOES not mean my rig will ship sooner. That all depends on how they want to start building them, 2 vs 4 door, manual vs auto etc. Hang in there!
No freaking VOTS recognition for me! Boooo. Oh well I'll check later today it's JKU anvil so I figured I'd be after all the black billet and whites.
Just got off a long hold on iamjeep and the rep said she sees my order date as 1/17 (I paid on 1-15) and that it takes at least 12 weeks to get into VOTS...... Um 12 weeks eh? I swear if this is how Jeep operates by just having any company asset just bullsh-t customers I'm not sure if I made a good decision to switch brands here! Seriously, I then asked if they had any other info or why 12 weeks when most orders are quoted 6-8 by dealers and she said she had no other information. This company is a bunch of clowns considering how this whole process has been managed. I'm ranting, I admit it but I can only take SO much misinformation!!!!!

The lack of communication is seriously painful...and from what I read, VOTS isn't entirely accurate on time frame either. All "guesstemation"
For all of you who haven't already done so, you can vote what type of 10A you ordered.
