Here are my thoughts, I think the red looks great with certain exterior colors. White, billet, and black I know what those color looked like. But anvil, I have no idea, trash can grey and red would look nice but I don't like the blue/grey combo. I guess that's the great thing about opinions, they differ from person to person.

The Jeep site indicates Anvil is much darker than Billet ... This is really closer to Billet, so who knows. Time will tell ...

Depending on the photo, the front appears to have a rake... once a winch is installed that will become more pronounced - definitely will need some tweaking. As far as the black OEM wheels and raised white letter tires - that is the first on my list that need to be changed.

I agree. I didn't like that combo either. Since Anvil has been a complete mystery it was a huge gamble to take.

At least that was my rationale for taking a the safe route.

MD998, I really like the wheels for stock and my own tatse. BUT, I will eventually put 35"s on it and some nice black/aluminum or chrome rims. All in time for me brother!

That is not Anvil, it's billet without a doubt. That color combo does look great though.

Wow - we are all so different! I love all of the combos, but my favorite is the anvil/red where anvil looks blue. I also like the wheels. But I don't think anybody will be disappointed with whatever they ordered. I have not seen a bad combo of interior, paint, fenders, top. I may get bigger tires, and level it, but keep the rest stock.

Billy.. I'm OK with them, I just have this visual the way I want my 10A to look.

When I build a car, its typically a sleeper with a hint there's something going on. I'm making changes that will appear it came from the factory, something only a 10A owner will notice.

I thought it would look more leveled with the added .5 hight... I wanted to keep it stock for a couple of years but hate that slouchy front look... will have to definately look into leveling it or a 2" lift... the color has to be billet (i hope) Anvil should have a touch more blue and darker. Red seats look awesome glad I went for that... the Anvil mystery continues

there is a close up of the flat top's front bumper which is the 10A bumper and its got the Zeon winch in it! That one is more affordable and because it's symmetric I think it looks great in the bumper.

With regard to the 10A pictured there is that one shot of the 10A emblem on the front quarter panel and there does appear to be flake in the paint so I concede that it's Billet. It really looked darker and more blue from a distance. I still think though it looks a little darker then other Billet Jeeps I've seen under showroom lights so I am not even sure if I'm totally giving up that it's Anvil but I'm under the impression that Anvil is the Nukizer gray color and under show lights like this it would look darker gray for sure I guess.

Seriously it's maddening that we can't figure out what the hell is going on with Anvil.

When I enlarge the pic of the Rubicon 10A metak plate on body, it cleary shows metalflake in the paint.

I think the rake may be related to the max tow package. The billet unit in these photos has the hitch. The 10A was only available with no or max tow. Standard tow wasn't an option. It could be stronger/longer rear springs for the tow package.

When you see Anvil in person, you'll laugh that you thought this could be it. It's billet. Which is good news. Otherwise, what good would billet be if Anvil looked just like it? And vise versa.

It could be ... a typical Rubicon with Max tow shows the same effects. Some photos it appears level, others the front is drooping. After adding a winch, I would expect at least an additional 3/4" to 1" needed up front..

Who makes replacement spring isolators for the front ?

I would go ACOS Pros but wouldn't want to hack up a new vehicle.

As an engineer who works in the Research and Development department for a different company, I go through tons of different designs on a product and make dozens of prototypes. I think the flattop bumper is one of those prototypes. Those prototypes get refined (and sometimes dumbed down) for mass production. But I really do hope that the Zeon winch fits. That would be my first choice over the 10a warn winch, unless the 10a winch has a great discount.

I also like the Zeon 10S more and with the rebate your looking at right around a grand. I like that price as well, as opposed to 1500 for the cti-s. I'm not even sure what exactly the reason to go with the 9.5cti-s is. Is it a more durable design or motor or something?

With regard to "laughing when I see Anvil," I welcome the day I can laugh when I see Anvil for real. I am seriously baffled that it is still such a enigma! I guess I just can't figure out why any and every picture we've seen of Anvil makes it look blue except for some SUPER close ups that had water on them that looked dark gray but no full Anvil Unlimited shots yet... white, yep.... billet, yep.... black, yep.... Anvil.... well sorta but as has been proposed they all are so badly white balanced that they are in no way shape or form right. Even those that have see Anvil say no picture on the internet is correct. How is that possible?

I'm curious as to the availability of spare parts for the 10A and if they will restrict color configurations to a given VIN. In other words, if my VIN and build sheet indicates black seats, I'm wondering if I can purchase red seats over the parts counter.

Especially since this will be a restricted number of units built...

is that the first shot we have of a 10A in the wild? what a damn shame that guy dumped the 10A wheels and tossed on those ugly things.

i agree with some of you that the 10A wheels arent the greatest, but the ones in that pic just dont belong on that wrangler.

Terrible choice... those are AEV wheels.

I'm buying a set of OEM silver Rubicon's and storing the 10A black painted wheels. I think on Billet it will look nicer...

wow. this is RIDICULOUS.

The depiction of Anvil on the Jeep website (when you build a 10A) looks NOTHING like the 10A in that picture. not even a little bit close. what the hell is jeep thinking? Cant say i have ever seen such a cluster F in regards to misrepresenting a color. ever.

Yes, i know, its called Anvil-gate, and its been beaten to death in this forum, but seriously someone at Jeep needs to get their sh*t together. Imagine the guy that orders based on the 'build your wrangler' app online and ends up getting what we see in the other pictures. It like the difference between red and pink.

A blind person could prob tell these colors apart.

If its true that Jeep management looks at these forums, then please, Mr or Ms Jeep employee, explain why this color is SOOOO different from all the other colors that Chrysler appears to represent well in all its marketing materials.
