The actual radio operations are basically the same.

The main difference is the GPS.

730 gives you more options and different interface.

430 is a cheaper version of the 730 with Garmin software.

The 430 is based off the newer style mygig where as the 730 is a revised version of the older RER.

The 730 has the U Connect built in internally not requiring the connectivity package.

The 430 requires a separate U Connect module to have the U Connect work and must be ordered with the connectivity package for the Bluetooth and phone functions.

Sounds like the 730 is worth it...

I'm not upgrading. I could pay a very professional shop 1800 dollars and have a whole system put in. I rarely listen to anything while driving so I'm not concerned at all anyway. All I really care about is being able to hear my GPS directions through bluetooth connect (audio only obviously) and be able to answer or make a quick call if I need to without having to wear headphones or a headset. The 130N with connectivity package does those things.

Where is this new EVIC info presented? I saw one pic of the 10th Anniversary and it appears to be in the gauge cluster. Is that correct or is that still a part we don't have good info on that we've asked Archer to take a "mental" picture of?

IMO, you can actually do MUCH better aftermarket, and for less money -- which is why I just went with the 130n and the Connectivity Package in mine...

remember connectivity is standard in the 10th Anniversary so you are paying for that twice if you go with the 730N in 10th.

Connectivity is 495 and the 730N is 1895 or something and if you try to add both you see a warning that tells you that cars price will increase by 1520 dollars meaning 395 less then it would be if you didn't have the connectivity package. Maybe it will be the same thing as the dual top group thing and they will credit you the roughly 400 extra you would be shelling out for the 730N with the connectivity coming standard

There will be a credit for connectivity when you upgrade to the 730n

that does make it a better deal but 1500 can really go a long way in the aftermarket. I just packed up my Pioneer AVH-X2500BT as it's going to cost me another couple hundred bucks to even get it to work with the steering wheel and trying to run the microphone cable all over the place... not worth it.

The Reciever is an Alpine Reciever or just the speakers are Alpine? Thanks!

What type of radio would you consider better? I have a 430n, and think the best feature is the internal memory. I've looked at other units, and while they're USB compatible, you can't actually download cd's etc, to a memory unit.

Is there some model I'm missing? The 430 is a great unit, IMHO.

I have asked my dealer to place an order for me on the 10A Tuesday. The dealer told me that they expect to receive my 10A around mid to late February. I have not bothered correcting them, but judging by what Pat and others have said on here, my dealer is misinformed. I assume that are just calculating normal turn around time for a new wrangler - not necessarily the 10A. I must say, I hope my dealer is right...but I aint holding my breath. I assume the first one to get their hands on one of these will post it asap. The waiting is painful.

I've been to several dealers in NJ and none had any information on the 10a but all asked for a deposit...

I had the same experience at the first two dealers I went to. I figured that they could not be much of a Jeep enthusiast if they knew nothing about the 10A's, so I moved on. Then, I went to one more dealer and they knew what it was and told me some of the features they expected it to have. Then, they called me last week and said it could be ordered Jan 15. That jived with what Pat and ArcherAce said on here, so I signed up. Gave them a $500 deposit and all options I wanted. I figure $500 is worth the risk. We will c

Why's that. All three dealers I've been in touch with were aware of it and knew the deal. They all knew it was the 15th and some details... although not as much as me

I have affiliate pricing and I negotiated down from there to 2.1% below invoice so I'm good. Just dropping off the cash.

Are you concerned or having a hard time with your local dealers?

How are you guys ordering already? Are they giving you a price yet? Or are you just putting down a deposit and going back to settle on a price on the 15th?

I was just saying "good luck" or thumbs up. I'm not very good at communicating via short text. Sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, yes, that is how I am doing it. We are all flying blind as to actual msrp. But, can get it pretty close knowing base price plus of 10A and adding in rubicon options on Jeep site.

Is there a reason people are trying to order this as soon as possible? Is there a belief that they won't be available for order past Tues, etc? My dealer is still trying to figure out what the Jeep is - I should get paid for the education I've been giving them on this vehicle

Your dealer and many others. I have been lurking on this site for a couple of months, and I am WAY more knowledgable about Wranglers than any of the salespeople I have come across. If you (Mr./Mrs. Dealer) are going to sell Jeeps, for crap's sake, at least be able to carry an intelligent conversation about freaking Wrangler! Learn a thing or two from Pat.

Speaking of which, I am putting my order in on the 16th.

Our dealership in NC was allocated a "hand full." If the allocations are by previous dealer volume, and knowing how many Jeeps these guys sell, then the 10A will go fast nationwide.
