Hey guys,
Thought that I would start this thread in anticipation of the 2013 Anniversary Rubicon.
Im excited to see what Jeep has come up with to make this Rubicon "limited".
Hopefully its more than just some AEV bolt ons like the COD was.
Please feel free to post what you believe it might look like or any info you may have on it.
Hopefully Pat will post some info this month on this thread about the new Rubi.
If this Rubi is as great as I hope, Ill be trading my fully moded 2012 JKUR in on one.
3 years in and I finally just got around to making some more significant mods. 22K miles, no issues whatsoever - this one isn't going anywhere soon! Great to see some of the original waiting list folks still hanging on to their 10As. All that speculation of what Anvil really looked like (the Brute trash can was closest I thought), tracking build and delivery status, red or black seats, etc.
The gorgeous day in May 2013 when I drove it off the lot.
This past weekend - AEV 3.5 RS lift, Salta wheels, 37" BFG KO2s
Debating what to do with the 10A wheels - is there a market for these? Mine are practically in pristine condition so if anyone has advice on how to price them I'd appreciate it!

Rav... likewise. We have close to the same mileage.
I haven't priced out a set of wheels for a long time. New 2013 take offs with sensors were about $1K. There's some new Hard Rock take offs on CL now.. all 5 with sensors, seller wants $1,200.
The problem are the sensors being compatible with other model years - if sensors are excluded then prices are typically lower.
I see you must be in OC or nearby... OC Motorsports building looks familiar.
Yeah, what he^^^^ said. My first reaction was hoping you at least re-geared to 4.56 and preferably 4.88.
As for the wheels, I know you dont have the collectible triple anvil/ red leather ( then again, only the red leather makes it special after the Chrysler screwup!!!), but down the line, you might get more for your 10A from a collector, if you still have the original 10A wheels. So I would at least store them away.
I am debating buying aftermarket wheels myself, but what has me hesitate, is that the wheels are part of what sets the 10A/X/ HR apart from other models..... As you can see..... Still debating :-S

Hello to all my brothers and sisters of the 10th Ann Rubicon. Still have mine, 22,000 miles and not a single issue other than oil change and routine services. Tires doing very good, no cupping or dipping. Rotate every 6,000 miles. Hope all my old friends of the torture tenure of the waiting to be built are all healthy and well. Take care ; Billy Goat
Hey BG... still here and my 10A has 23K miles. I've had to replace the oil pressure sensor and HVAC actuator - but that's it. I'm still on my original tires ... no cupping here as well.
Still have mine, just rolled past 10,000 miles. Made a few modifications, but so far only a bad wheel sensor. Plan to keep this one until the 20th anniversary rubicon comes out in 2023ish.
Still have mine. Anvil with red JKU, 30k miles replaced the stock tires with 35's. Still love the jeep and put a 2016 2 door Hard Rock next to it in the garage.
Just finished getting mine through some issues before the warranty was up. I had:
-Rear locker stuck engaged
-Cabin blower motor whining noise - needed replaced
-Had a seal that rubbed on the brake petal linkage that was causing noise
-Interior light were erratic - caused by the turn signal lever (replaced)
BTW, for those of you who've upgraded to 35's, did you have to trim the rock rails at all??
Usually, the older Rubicon rails needed trimmed about an inch for 35's, but I don't know about the 'next gen' version that was installed on the 10A's and Hardrocks.
I trimmed my rock rails this week to fit 35" KO's. Not tough. Pulled both rails easily. Trimmed just behind the weld for the round tubing, where it meets the railing. There is one youtube video that walks you through the work. I also reviewed some other videos of rubicon rail mods to show a variety of methods to plan my work. Finished off the job with Rustoleum truck bed spray. Very happy!
Put some 35's on today. Looks great with the minimal stock lift. I am planning on installing a 2.5" soon, though. I'll also need to trim the rails.
For the spare, I installed a 1.25" wheel spacer. It worked perfectly. Still maintain good rear view clearance, and I don't have to mess with the third brake light.
Hello, fellow 10th Anniversary owners! Could someone please answer a quick question?
I'm trying to determine how "stock" mine is and how much room I have to play with for tires. A friend pointed out that it has risers above the springs. They look to be around 2", depending on how much is hidden at the top. Is that normal for the 10A? He commented that he thought it was slightly higher than a stock 10A.
Could someone comment on whether or not theirs came that way? A photo would be fantastic. I'll probably post one tonight.
Looks like a spacer lift, basically a budget boost type of lift. The stock spring isolators are soft black rubber and only about .5 inch thick. Spacer lifts aren't horrible but with the factory shocks your down travel is limited unless the spacer lift came with shock extensions. You should be able to fit 33-34 inch tires but might be pushing 35s.
This is a sad day. Just listed my 10A for sale in the classified section. I have been building her up for off-roading trips, but due to a newborn and the crazy cost of day care in california, I have to let her go.
