My scheduled delivery time was altered at least 1/2 dozen times and I missed my first planned offroad trip. My jeep showed up at least a month after many people that ordered a month or later than me. Alot of us had something similiar going on. It was indeed frustrating, but would not stop me from ordering another. I am just trying to give a little perspective because I feel like out of 10,000 posts 9,000 are negative. Just wait a few more weeks, and you will be super stoked when it arrives! Buy some sage and smudge that bad energy out!
I don't care what the product is. Shitty customer service will be evaluated for what it is. Just because it happens frequently and consistently doesn't make it right or any less frustrating.

Who knows, it could be some obscure trim panel/wire harness combination that would cause 2 seemingly identically orders to be made weeks apart and out of order from when the order was received...

I am sure that it was the same for the 2012 models. I keep popping in this thread to see the new """"10A""""s to roll out, but mostly what I catch is those threatening Chrysler, begging Chrysler for an extra $500 or spouting off that something should be different for you because the jeep has a "10A" badge on the side and red seats. Chill... they will come, you will be happy, and hopefully the next gen of jeep will make you want one just as much...
Been waiting 1/3 of a year. One of the 1st on the block to "pony up" and also helped drive up the demand (STI has a point there). The wait is beginning to suck, especially since Jeep is delivering to folks (good for them, I mean it) who ordered way after I did. Frankly, I think that getting my Jeep that I ordered months ago, or at least some reliable, and accurate information on its status is not an unreasonable request.

Day three of being a 10A owner.... Did I mention that I love "my jeep". I have a passenger window that sticks a bit going up.

I had a 2010 JK sport before, this 10A is like a completely different vehicle. She feels mean coming off a light. Like she wants to tear the pavement out with its claws for wheels. She drives far better and feels more stable too.

She is becoming slightly more tolerant of Hummers, now she laughs and points but the name calling is a bit calmer.

Stopped by a dairy queen with family tonight and had four jeeps all lined up. Three rubis and a Sahara, the other owners lined up to ask about the details, a bit uncomfortable. They had great jeeps too.

Also saw two guys walking on sidewalk almost trip their wives when the pivoted to check her out and a few others pass by and then almost fall out of their car windows for a second look. Need to come up with a phrase or some verb for this reaction like they were "10A'd" or something since it seems contagious.

I don't blame them. I have been searching for " my jeep" for over two years. She is definitely "the one" for me! I just get a bit jealous when others look at her that way!! Lol ;-) After all she is taken and my name is on the window sticker! :-)

Well Doc, you seem to point to everybody jumping on this forum for info and how Chrsyler should pay attention. If you spent so much time researching, surely it should have come to your attention that VOTS sucks. You may not like it, but you could have known what to expect ahead of time at least. It may have saved you the trouble of ordering and having the unexpected horrible experience that will make you never order a jeep again. Again, the process of the """"10A""""s has not been different. The 2012 owner were anxious to get a "game changing" rubicon with the new pentastar. In 2013 the only new differences were the seat designs and new leather, and some interior lighting, but the leather turned into a huge delay. Then color matched hardtops held things up, etc. Now you are waiting for a 2013 with a new hood and new red leather, along with new bumpers. You had the same choice as we all have. Buy what is already out on the lots or order exactly what you want, hand over your deposit and wait. You, like me, like many of us wanted to order the new 2013, so you have to wait for it. I ordered my new soft tops from ORH. Guess what the biggest complaint is? Lack of updates and getting your top quickly. I researched, decided the 2 month lead time was worth it for what I wanted and now I am waiting. But I am not continually complaining about the ridiculousness of it and getting upset at other orders going out the door ahead of mine and threatening to never do buisness with the guy again...

I actually told someone in this thread to mind their own business...

They came back and asked what my problem was.

I actually find the complaining on this thread to be a refreshing cool breeze after spending some time perusing the comments on Slate.com

Just popped over to the 2013 jk waiting room
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...om-164814.html

Lot of the same kind of stuff over there inluding compaints about Jeep, the process and VOTs. A higher percentage of positive posts, but also a much higher percentage of people receiving Jeeps. Again I don't think 10a'ers hold a monopoly on complaining. Wait. Aren't you complaining too? Just about people complaining? I guess you could call that meta-complaining.

This thread has been a terrific community of folks with a common interest! I appreciate each of your comments, complaints, facts, encouragement and jokes. The common interest of our wranglers among a diverse group of folks is one of the many reasons I own a Wrangler!

That said, my 10A does totally rock!!

I almost feel like when someone comes into this thread and posts stuff like that and they haven't ordered a 10a that they are intruding on family business.

I just got back from the dealer about an two hours ago and the 10A was definitely worth the wait. Anvil looks so much better in person, the pics and video really don't do it justice.

Glad to hear your Jeep is starting to adjust to its environment. Seems kind of like that movie about the "10". Maybe you can come up with something from that to call it for when they make those moves.

Im guessing order date doesn't really matter. I bet it mattered more where you ordered from. The high volume dealers are getting theirs first. At least that's what it looks like to me here in SoCal. The bigger Jeep dealers have some on their lots already (Bob Baker in El Cajon, Huntington BEach Jeep) I was planning on ordering from Bob Baker because I knew they were an AEV authorized high volume dealer and I got my Special Edition STI from their sister Subaru dealership... They are 2 hours from me. Ended up ordering from the dealer down the street and Im still in D1, while Bob Baker has some in transit and supposedly on their lot. 1/17 order. HB also has that black red seater comng in and I think it will be one of the first in the state.

I'm not ordering a 10A, nor did I plan on it, (I just bought a 2012 Sahara) but I thought I should ask how excited you guys and gals are? I mean, your getting the most capable stock vehicle ever produced, and to top it off, it will never be available again. This jeep is what a rubi should be. Solid bumpers, taller off the ground, MUCH better tires, and some cool-ass color scheme. Congratulations on the new purchases and have fun, post some pics, and hopefully jeep realizes how much of us want a factory vehicle to be so rugged. Post pics! I'll be following along.

Black switches. Grab handles. Chrome knobs. Everything looks to be there. Delivered this morning and picked up this afternoon. They had 3 offers on it today then moved it around back.

It kind of comes and goes. I get excited when I see movement towards actually getting my Jeep because it looks so awesome. But I get kind of down when I don't see any progress for long periods of time. When I finally get it I will be very excited indeed! Stick around and I am sure you will see all the pics you can stand, the flood gates are about to open.

Seriously, the way the guy at DQ was checking out her bumper! I thought, "dude have some respect for your 12 dozer Rubi, she is a rare breed too". To behave like that in front of his Jeep, shameful!! Lol :-)

Maybe a few more days, my sheer joy of finally owning this vehicle will wear off. For now, She is just "mine". You may have to tolerate a bit more of these posts since she does have a lot of personality, charm, and charism

I can't wait for you all to finally get your offloading partners!!!!! Is the wait worth ... No!! All I know is that I am glad I bought one, or we would not have met!

As with a few people my jeep was d-1 last week, frame yesterday and shipping today. Unfortunately I will have to wait until the 29th to pick it up. I ordered it in VA and live in southwest PA and can not get to VA until then. I will be diving it up the mountain on the 30th.

Why did us red seaters get black switches? I would have preferred red. Thanks for the pics of Anvil and the red seats, it looks great and I can't wait to have mine in the garage like that.

First Jeep for me too! You freaked me out for a couple hours! I had lots of recommendations and advice before I ordered, but then I got on here! This forum is such a mix of people with lots of different levels of experience. On here, I heard about the Tread Lightly discount and freaked. I talked to an experienced Jeeper who has purchased 4 jeeps from my dealership. He said I could play the discount card, but I should expect to pay more for the lift and AEV parts.

Doc, the problem is shutting the door to the garage at the end of the night, it was like just a few more minutes! Then later thinking of the mods and which trails and quality time together....No sleep! Lol! No seriously!! :-)
