If the clear coat starts wearing through, I'll have them prepped and repainted.
I figured as much since every single JK with color matched fenders had the seam line issue at the dealership. I'll most likely ask my dealer to reprep/repaint them under warranty when my 10A comes in. I hope they agree to it.
I sure do love this place, I laugh ,and cry at times. I ordered mine on 3/21- vots says production scheduled. BUT- got email from salesman yesterday that said est ship date is 4/23 but no estimated build date yet. my heart is racing- but at the same time I am skeptical. I will be glad when she comes in, never owned a new vehicle for myself- only the wife has. I am of the mind that it will be messed up someway.... My dog will be so excited- going from 2 doors to 4- he gets his own window!!
Plan to give her the first bath, what are your recommendations for prepping the bumpers? I'm concerned about Rust around or at the bolts. What do you prep the non-body painted top, can you wax it without in turning white like the black plastic flares?
I want to prep her right so she lasts, figured now is the best time to gets her right before daily grime collects.
Any word on the final numbers of 10A or if the ordering window closed?
Well I hope the Mopar lift has good manners as well! Ha ha ha Same primary purpose, fun! Not letting go of my car. The dealer has been installing some AEV 3rd Brake light kit which includes an adapter so the stock mount can take a 35" tire. And I just got I new bump stops from Quadratec that are extended. I'll probably sell the stock tires, keep the rims. Did you get the AEV ProCal yet, mine came in today?
I am sure you will be just fine with your lift. I do not have the 3rd brake light ordered, yet. I am using the spare tire carrier made by AEV, it will mount to the frame and attach to the rear gate, the idea is to get the weight off of the tailgate since the larger tires weigh so much. The increased weight can over time break/crack the welds and put stress on the stock hinges. Are you planning on using the stock carrier? If so you might want to search for a Teraflex or something like the AEV to get the weight off of the tailgate. I can't speak from personal experience but from what other have said on this forum I opted to get a different carrier for these reasons.
I do have the Procal, dropped it off at the dealer yesterday, seems pretty straight forward.
Mine was pulled for that on Tuesday and as of now (Sunday morning), it is still there.
Mine was pulled for 100% inspection Tuesday as well and is still there. I remember reading a post that someone was in it for over 10 days. I ordered on 1/31 and now have a delivery date of 4/29. When was your order date and what is your delivery date now?
Looked at this last night as well...Ragtop Vinyl protectant seems like the correct product. Interesting it states to use this before it gets dirty. Considering most will now have Premium Soft Tops I hope we get some good feedback.
Wow. Looks amazing! Mine will be just like that but with painted top/flares. Anyone else debating turning the white walls in?
I think I am def gonna turn the whitewalls in.. thinking of having the dealer do it before i pick mine up.. Especially since mine is just loke docs.. going all black with mine too... just soft top for florida... looking awesome doc
I agree. This is the first Jeep forum where I've had to use the Ignore button a few times. For the most part this thread has remained respectful until Junior showed up.
The fact is he believes everyone else is inept and we should seek his opinion on matters that's really none of his business.
If we all place this guy on the ignore list, his posts won't be visible in this thread.
Did not know about the ignore button...but it appears a few posts have disappeared while I was researching the JW Speakers vs Truck-lites LEDs...it appears that whoever the moderator is has a more effective "ignore button"...Thank you moderator.
