I know Pat said wranglers go offline in July, but when is the last day you can place an order for a 10A?

It appears there will be a plate needed between the frame rails for mounting the winch. It's similar to a C-channel steel bumper mounted on a standard rubicon, with a special steel skid beneath it.

I'll need to find or fab a plate between the frame rails for winch mounting. As far as instructions from Chrysler, I've yet to even find instructions on the removable bumper end caps. They are easy enough to figure out with no instructions, but the way manufacturers usually are with overkill on instructions, I figured there would be some info. No info on the front bumper at all with any of the paperwork or in the printed owners manual I requested from Jeep.
I thought my dealer said that there was a 10th anniversary winch? Does anyone know if and when they are available? We took the sides off the bumpers last night... Now it totally needs a winch...

Also, is anyone doing spacers and if so what size?

Thanks

Jeep (or more specifically, Pat, I think?) indicated that the hold up was something to do with Warn waiting to release some information? And then Jeep was waiting on Warn before making any information public.

Or something like that.

I haven't put my soft top on, but on my '12 I just pushed/folded the fabric back to make the opening larger.

My dealer, who is usually fairly accurate, told me yesterday that the winch is still 60 - 90 days out.

Woohoo! My coworkers think I'm crazy! First, for trading in a perfectly good 13 Sahara for one of those Rubicons, second because we will be furloughed soon. And third, because I'm fist bumping everything because my 10A is KZ this morning! I'm soo excited my hands are shaking! And I have two folks interested in trading their takeoff Sahara wheels/tires for my soft top. Almost perfect timing.

My dealer said they could still order, anticipated through sometime next month at this point. Jone, I'd try another dealer.

I talked with a Warn engineer yesterday. He is the designated engineer that works with Chrysler for Warn on things like the power wagon winch and their Mopar winch line.

According to him Jeep has yet to place an order for any 10A special winches. Also he said that they will not be manufacturing the winch mount plate. He said that the same company which manufactures the hood and bumpers will be making the mount. He also told me that this was AEV.

Now we know AEV denies having anything to do with these parts. I did read an article months back which named the company building these components. I can't find it now and don't remember the name. I do remember though that the company runs under it's own name and identity, but is a wholely owned subsidary of AEV.

So I would say if that is true, AEV is trying to maintain a pure brand of it's own seperate from Jeep while manufacturing "for" Jeep through a subsidary.

I called AEV yesterday also after speaking with Warn. Of course they denied having any connection with the 10A parts. At the same time he told me that the plate would be available shortly through Mopar for a fact (Curious).

I asked if the AEV plate for the Moab/COD bumpers would work, maybe with slight modification. Again he stressed that Mopar would have it soon and to wait rather than order this plate.

So, just as 10A production was a total mystery and crap fest, it seems 10A specific accessories will be an exact repeat of the vehicle process.

Moved to shipment in VOTS today! Seven days in the 'I' status hole for me. My estimated delivery date is 4/29. Ordered 1/31.
