Well, it looks like the second person I spoke with yesterday at IAMJEEP was the one with good information. I just checked VOTS and it shows me in paint. Hooray! There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Not to mention the flashing EVIC warning me of impending doom if i don't air my tires up. I know, I could (and I will) buy a tuner to correct this condition. And, i'm sorry if this topic has been covered already. This thread moves so darn fast......it's hard to keep up (and keep my job).
I was just wondering if anybody else is planning on running less air pressure.
Procal, yes, and I run 36 in my 325/60's, although they are only Load Range D i believe. Seems to be pretty smooth.

FWIW, it's a NHTSA standard not a Jeep standard that they be run that high. The federal government has regulations for load range. On the F-150 threads people complain about the BFG Rugged Trail that came on their trucks. Load Range E, like yours, on a LD truck.

If your 10A get pulled for secondary lot inspections, then expect an addition seven to ten business days of waiting. If you are going through the standard primary inspection, then you'll probably be in and out within a couple of days.

Was happy to hit KZ this morning, but am more interested in quality...
If I go by vots then ill be posting pics on the 10am porn thread of a $40K+ can of billet paint...since I went from D1 scheduled to be built, directly to paint, then skipped all inspection status codes and went right to KZ shipped status this am...

Heart goes out to hammer one.. Hope no others experience the same level of issues and am interested in hearing how resolution is going..

They build these beasts in hours, not days, and VOTS does not keep pace. Even on my final Movement Report I snagged from the dealer, it only shows F, I, KZ, KZL, and KZX. So I got lucky and 'saw' Inspection, but going by VOTS, it should have been a bare metal, frame only, no trim buggy! And I was expecting it to go by rail from everything I had been told, but turns out they trucked it Toledo to Maryland. Thankfully they put some poor fella's 10A JK in front of mine, and it took most of the bugs and grime to its' backside on the trip.

Greg, here is what mine looked (4-door) like off the truck. If you put all the boxes in the back, all 4 seats should be free.

My Jeep should be in Atlanta Metro Area around May 1st. I have already ordered new wheels and tires and AEV lift. I will be selling my 10a wheels and tires with no miles. If anyone has any interest please PM me. I think around $1500 will be the price.

Google is having technical difficulties today, the spreadsheet is down for a little bit.

Maybe the person that did the QA review on Hammers Jeep is working at Google now?

Make Jeep buy it back. They will if you push hard. Get the dealer to schedule a meeting at the store with the Zone rep for Jeep. He's the one you need to talk to. Good luck

Glad it worked for you. I just put a fix in for an issue that was reported this morning, so if you had trouble originally, try again. (Jeep returned extra whitespace on the end of the code.)

It's incredibly hard to test this sort of thing because I do not control Jeep's response and only have one Jeep on order.

If anyone has suggestions or runs across any more problems, let me know.

Thanks!

EDIT: Looking at the requests, I didn't make it clear enough for people to enter the LAST 8 of your VIN, just exactly like you do in VOTS. I've updated the input box to suggest such. Sorry!

Whoever did QA on Hammer's Jeep should get yanked into an alley and kicked in the head.

The 10a's tires have a load level rating of 121/118 or a max of 3600 lbs per tire. A JKU weighs around 4500 lbs. The problem with oversized tires on a small vehicle is that the load range really doesn't mean anything anymore. Sitting on the ground the Jeep comes nowhere near the operating range of the tires. Of course on any vehicle, assuming stock tires, you fill them based on the plaque on the door opening, never based on the sidewall. Tire dealers and shops always seemed to love to jack 50 psi in my Jeep. The ideal way to determine the correct pressure is to chalk the ground and check the contact patch by running over the chalk and observing the pattern on the tire. Its a pain, and partially subjective, but its better than the other guess work methods, and way better than the sidewall. I do all 4 tires and take an average, or take an average per axle and run different pressures front and rear. You can also find charts from the manufacturer with pressured based on total vehicle load weight. This can be a good starting point before you use the chalk method. Running too high a pressure is potentially as bad as running too low a pressure. Both cause premature wear and bad road handling. The extra problem with too low is the excessive heat build up due to hysteresis which greatly increases the rate at which the tire breaks down and fails.
