You know, that's the only "light at the end of the tunnel" that has kept me going on this deal.

I'll caveat that by saying that my estimation is based on nothing being actually wrong with your Jeep.

As for the total lack of information, man, that's what really sucks. Why does it take Jeep 10 days? What is Jeep looking for, and/or do they drive it? Throw us a freaking bone!

My JKR10A is out of 'I' status and is finally in transit. 'Bout freaking time is all I can say. I can only hope that it is flawless. And by, "I can only hope," I mean that my JKR10A had better be worth the addition two+ working week delay.
Espada, I'm very happy that yours has finally shipped. At least it means there is some end to this process.

Of course, you are right! If it takes the plant three weeks to trouble shoot it, I can just imagine how long it would have taken the dealer!

There is a 2013 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Trail Hawk sitting at my dealership for 39k. It is a beautiful/manly SUV. The Wrangler was going to be a third vehicle. I decided to trade in my car (wife has a 2010 VW Touareg TDI with Air Suspension). They are not giving me a bad deal on the car looking at KBB but it is still a kick in the OO given that it is a year old (2008 GMC 2500HD Diesel (4 inch lift and 36's, moved and no room for it) -> 2012 Audi A4 (love it but not me) -> ?). The wrangler is a nice vehicle but then again so is the Grand Cherokee. I will be driving whatever vehicle for 12 miles one way to work down a country highway as I work at a power plant located all on its own. I drive a R6S to work most of the summer. I have two 15ft fishing kayaks that I can haul around in a 6x10 trailer that is 650lbs empty and has a 4klbs GVW limit. I have Polaris 850XP that I use for deer hunting, goose hunting, and ice fishing. I figured that the 2k towing capacity of the Wrangler would be fine and I could take out the back seat if I needed more room. Is the Wrangler going to work or should I take the Grand Cherokee? The second I sign the doted line, it will be expensive to say "oops, my bad!!!".

I owned a 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland. It's an extremely luxurious vehicle as far as ride quality, fit and finish. The power train is smooth (had the hemi). Fuel mileage was good considering the weight and engine choice.

That being said, Jeep had to take it back which is why I'm in the 10A now. The vehicle was 100% trouble free except for the air suspension (which is on the trail hawk). It gave non-stop problems from 10 months old forward. I don't think it was so much the system as it was the inadequate training of the techs on the system and Chrysler's crazy way of trying to have engineers and techs diagnose and repair it via telephone, rather than simply train the techs. I may have just gotten that one lemon, but I will not buy another air suspension vehicle from Jeep in the next 10 years.

All of that being said, the decision depends on what you want from the vehicle. There is absolutely "NO" comparison between the two when it comes to ride. The wrangler rides like a two horse wagon compared with the air suspended Grand Cherokee. The GC has many creature comforts not available on a wrangler, such as COOLED as well as heated seats, power seats, back-up camera, "telescopic" as well as tilt wheel, back up sensors with alarm chime and if equiped front warning as well as adaptive cruise control, power lift gate and a few other frills. Needless to say more of a luxury vehicle that can go off-road if need be, where the Wrangler is more of an off-road vehicle that can be a street driven DD.

All said I'm happier now with my Wrangler for what I use it for than I was with the GC, and that doesn't take into consideration the troubles I had with the GC. I do miss that Hemi power though!

730N pro's. I was playing around with it and downloaded my phonebook, all is well. Then i checked out the remove phonebood and it says that option isn't available or something to that degree. Then i looked at the instructions and it says that it cannot be removed, etc., which is sorta odd. I deleted one contact from the 730 screen, and also deleted it out of my cell itself, and it is still in the 730??? Anyone know a way to get rid if contacts if you want them gone??? Talked with IAMJEEP, very helpful, but couldn't answer my question. Also, once you take delivery of your vehicle just call IAMJEEP and they will send you a HARD COPY of your owner's manual, and ensure you tell them which media center you have.

Multiple calls I have made to my dealer and IAMJEEP have all turned up the exact same thing - there have been no status updates or even an attempt to change the estimated ship date. The last entry everyone sees is 04/09/13 which is the day it went into I status. It even still shows an estimated ship date of 04/10/13.

Really? 10 days in an "extended QC inspection"? I am starting to think that this is not a QC inspection but more a case of "oh shit, somthing is really wrong and we need to figure out if we can fix it or if we have to build a new one".

The part that irritates me the most is that there is no information, no update, nothing. It would be one thing if someone would at least give me some sort of information - just tell me I am not going to get it until May 15, and I am fine with that. At least I would know something and could make plans accordingly.

I like to think I have been more patient than many on here (order was placed on 01/24), but the total lack of information is really just piss-poor all around.
Ask them to put in a "hot ticket" - at least I think that's what it's called - basically a search for new status info on your vehicle. It should make it a priority as I understand it, and hopefully bring answers. Of course they may throw up their hands and say "I dunno" in their best Homer voice...

Not for sure, but if you delete the pairing with your phone it should delete the phone book. If you don't want your phone book sync'd but do want the hands free then when you pair it up you should be able to tel it not to sync your phonebook.

Looks like they are filling that train that winds through Texas on the way to SoCal! I am KZ also as of this morning (3/4 order) and shipping to SoCal. It is supposed to load by 4/21 and arrive at the dealer by 5/10 per IAMJEEP. That puts me about 9 weeks from order to delivery - more or less the mid-May delivery I expected.

IAMJEEP said I can join the 4/23 shippers today. Light at the end of the tunnel.
Funny thing is when I gave the lady my name, she asked if I was the guy on the wrangler forum who thinks he's so cute with all the goofy picture posts. I said no, I'm "Low Crumble". She said "good, because if we find out who that Wolf Driver Guy is, he's getting the de-chrome package, the cracked hardtop package, and the super extra undercarriage rust package!" Oh snap!

I'm never serious. I'm only 5 months old. Sheesh.

O.k. I am serious about the ship date. The other stuff is just more of my silliness. Chrysler is not going to retaliate for anyone's posts on a forum. They've got better things to do like build rockin' ass 10a's. Low Fumble might though.

So Ive noticed a pretty bad squeak coming from what sounds like the driveshaft, going to take it to the dealer today, sounds like a u joint didn't get greased..

Also found out that my passenger side freedom panel is a noticeably lighter shade then the rest of the hard top.. Not sure how I missed that.. Will see what dealer says when I take it in. Make sure you check yours, with the QC. Issues I doubt I'm the only one..

Nice. Looks like the March orders are starting to hit the line. I ordered mid March and went from D1 strait to KZ sometime in the past couple days. IAMJEEP has much more accurate info now that things are really moving. I live in Detroit so I was surprised that they even put it in a train. Hope to see it this weekend or Monday!!! Under 5 weeks from order to estimated delivery!!!

Picked my baby up last night

Picked mine up last night. On the way home, was playing with the navigation, 730n, and noticed that the turn information would show up in the EVIC just before the turn. Kinda cool.
