What is the typical wait time for the VON? Just curious, as I am sure it varies place to place. I ordered my 10A Tuesday the 15th and have yet to receive an email from Jeep or my dealership. I just get nervous having never ordered from this dealership.

I don't know what the typical wait time is, but I left the dealership with my VON.

That is what is making me nervous. I have read that in several other posts in this thread. I called my dealership and asked about it, they replied that I would receive and email from Jeep. Not being entirely sure how the ordering process works, I feel I need to be patient on this. Or should I call them on it?

I didn't get one right away as I ordered on the night of the 15th. Then Wednesday anvil wasn't available so they did not actually place my order intel Thursday morning at which time they told me my number. I had to ask them for the VON they didn't volunteer it.

With all that said I have no email from Jeep and VOTS still says my name and number are not recognized and wrong. I have a feeling that all the anvil orders are in limbo for some reason.

Did anyone with anvil color get the email from Jeep and have a recognized VON on VOTS???

See, I just ordered my Jeep in Black, I knew that was a known quantity, whereas Anvil was unknown and varied by photo. I decided that for my money, I will order something I know I will love, not something that I hope I will love.

I guess my point is IT"S A PRESELL Just like anything else you pre order before you actually see it in person. Yeah I know the money part is different, the principal is the same. Orders were scheduled to open next month, instead Jeep said we will open for sold orders only. That's what a pre sell is. It's for the folks that have seen enough to know they want one.

99.9% of the info is out and has been since November. Sure we don't have pics of the EVIC. ANVIL is a straight shade meaning it will look different whether it's inside, outside, under LED lights or under flourescent lights, just like Commando, just like Rock Lobster, just like Dozer. I understand wanting to see it look the same pic to pic, but hey at least now you all know what it will look like in all different conditions!

I'm truly am not trying to be an a$$, but if it wasn't for this forum you'd have a lot more to really be complaining about. You all talk about how you know more than the dealers you are going to. Sure you can find another forum, but I can guarantee there is more info here than anywhere else and this forum was the first place the info was placed online for the public to see.

I guess it's just more frustration on my part than anything. I'm done complaining now

I should have the winch part numbers later today. Again you can only order the 10A Edition Warn winch from the dealer. It will not be available anywhere else.

Sorry for the rant!

I'm thinking it will be the very end of this month or the first week of Feb before the Anvil orders are recognized. As someone else stated the paint isn't officially open so the system and the software doesn't recognize it yet. Ill see if there is a way to have that changed so you all can at least get your VINs.

I was planning on doing that until I saw more pics of the black. Don't get me wrong it still is sexy, but it's just not different enough for me. I like the Anvil because when people see it they'll imstantly know it's not an ordinary Rubi.

I don't even care if it more bluey or gray-y. Every pic I've seen so far I like

And for those who ordered Anvil, I wouldn't stress too much. You will get the Jeep you ordered.

Also keep in mind it's January. For arguements sake let's say all your Anvil orders are mysteriously lost (which won't happen) it's still early enough where you could just redo it and you'll be fine.

same here...got VON from the POC sheet, no email from Jeep and VOTS does not recognize lastname or VON#....no vin yet either for a 10A JKUR ANVIL. I also have error code on my status-

BE - Editor error-coding error
which must be corrected before
the order can be considered for
scheduling

has to be the paint.........

Same as the others with anvil, ordered on Tuesday.

VON # from my POC
Status=BE
Not recognized in VOTS

Pat checked my VON, He said it's in the system.

Thanks Pat!

I think I need to quit reading this thread for a few days, it's making me nervous

That wont happen!

Red badges....red lettering on the hood.....the unique bumpers and hood.....these details will also tell the story to anybody that knows what they're looking at. My TJ was black, and my JK will be too. there's no question in my mind about wether I'll love the color or not. To each his or her own, but i had my VON before I left the dealership and I got my e-mail from Chrysler/Jeep yesterday.

Very true but i'm still gonna go with Anvil. Now I just don't know if I want 2 or 4 door haha. I had my heart set on 4, but the 2 just looks sportier. But I feel like 4 is more practical, and I've been in the back of a 2 dr JK and it was always pretty cramped.

Any opinions? Unless I have a drastic change of heart I will most likely go with 4.

Once I get verification from Jeep that my order is actually in the system they can take as long as they want to get my Jeep just right! I have waited for 10 years to get a Rubi, I can wait as long as it takes from this point. Just want to know that they have my order in their hands.

MrPiff if you will actually need to use the rear seat for passengers then the 4 door is the way to go for sure. I don't have a need for the rear seat and the one from my 09 sport hasn't seen the sun for many years now.

Thanks for the input. I usually do travel with people in the back seat and there is a possibility this will be my family car in a few years.

I just wish there were more pics of anvil 4dr with the doors off, but hey I'm not complaining. I'm sure it will look just as nice if not better in 4dr.

More $ = better :P

One way to look at is is if you go with 4 doors then you get more of the special paint. I have already bought the Rugged Ridge quick release mirrors for mine as well as the Terraflex cb antenna mount. I might have to visit a dealer so I can pick out a spot for mounting the radio itself.

Perfectly said. Bravo! And you rock with the info like no one else. Please don't let the few whiners deter you and spoil it for the rest.

I went with the 2 door myself. I guess it just goes back to my TJ. I really love that classic look. This will be my daily driver for going to and from work and also (of course) my toy. Anyone that doesn't wish to cram thenselves in the back seat of my Jeep can find thier own mode of transportation. I should probably mention that my son is off to college soon and it's just the wife and I so, anything behind the front seats is just cargo room anyway.

Ordered my Black 4 door this morning and after seeing a Rubicon on the lot with the matching hard top i went with it instead of the black top. This will be a breathtaking vehicle with the red interior setting it off. Dont have a VON yet and was in a hurry to get to work from the dealer. I did load it up. Thanks for the poster that gave the black pictures with the hardtop, really nice. Also, thank to Pat who gave info on this site that had me running the dealer instead of vice versa. I ended up close to 2% below invoive.

I found one secret upgrade!!!!!!!

We get 2 windshield washer fluid sprayers! Read it and weep "regular" Rubicons... we get double the windshield washing fluid ejection you get

Anyone else play Where's Waldo with the internet pictures?
I was just zooming in on the highest quality shots of the gauge cluster I could find and the only thing I notice is the color on the tach showing redline area and the tach being denoted with a multiplier of 100 instead of the standard which are single digits multiplied by 1000.

Redline on the pentastar is 6400 RPM right... I thought for a second it was lower on the pentastar and figured someone would have caught that by now.

He swings and he misses! Oh well. Saw a pic of the Moab hood and saw it only had one so I figured they all had one.
