I learned of aftermarket hitches that are much cheaper and mount to the existing frame holes. Cool, or so I thought, I planned to install it when I mounted the tire carrier, and noticed that the 10A bumper is mounted differently than the stock JK bumper. The 4 center bolts that I presume are not used in the stock bumper actually hold the bumper to the frame on the 10A. Those of us with out the hitch they use a pc of flat steel to take up the space. Problem is that the draw-tite hitch that I bought had nuts welded on the back side to tie it to the frame. Simple fix was to grind the nuts off and give it a shot of paint to prevent rust. I then simply took the 4 bolt out, removed the shim and installed the hitch. The one I got sticks out from the bumper more than the stock one and I wanted that to give the bike some clearance from the tire.
Just wanted to let anyone know if they plan on installing a hitch you will have to modify it to work.

Finished product:
Do you have a picture from underneath with your hitch point mounted?

Seriously, I think that is the best 10a mod Jeep yet!! It looks like a pic out of a magazine. I have a Billet JKU coming - doing a 3" lift with AEV Savegres and Duratrac 315's. Do your tires stick out at all??

does anyone know the part number for the warn winch for the 10th anniversary? im thinking of getting it because it matches the theme but still torn over the power plant, seems like an awesome deal but havent really heard much about it and not sure if it will sit down the new bumper far enough to not cover the entire front grille since there so tall.

its a Zeon 10-S
dealer tried to mount and said, it doesnīt fit
east coast tire in Batavia, NY did the job. They said, some minor creativity was necessary :-)
The lift is a AEV DualSport; no other mods on the suspension to do.
It came with Procal so that after adjusting the speedo and ETC works as stock.
No changes at driveshaft or eshaust was necessary...

AEV Dual Sport RS, correct? How does it ride? I understand it is actually supposed to be better on road than the stock suspension.

as I changed tires and suspension at a time I can hardly judge how the suspension (yes, RS) is compared to the stock. But even with the significant bigger tires it rides phenomenal!

It's quoted literally at the top of this page, or even better, go one page back.

I kept the stock wheels with 305/70R17 (34x12x17) and no lift.

Really like the Teraflex tire carrier as it keeps the wheel centered. With the 10A bumper, am able to put it on the lowest position (stock 32") which gives excellent visibility from the rear window.

And to make matters worse behind that damn pop rivet there is no threading so there is no way to install the welcome distributing handles. FREAKING JEEP!
As a follow up, I was mistaken on installation and got them on today!
Wow is all I have to say. It's been said before but these make getting in and out incredibly easier considering I'm 5'10". I absolutely love these handles and they are worthy every penny I spent.

so for those of you planning to get the winch and live in states requiring front license plates, where do you plan to put the plate?

Great thread guys...

Love the new Rubicon 10A edition and really really want one.

This thread got me to the site and really hoping to see more of the new Jeep on it here. I have not had the chance to see one in person yet or on the road anywhere. I know they just got released and a lot of you guys have had them on order for a bit now.
