BADASS!!!!
Love it.

How does the 4.10s do with the 35's?
Any plans for gears or the present gears suffice?

Don't really understand why Jeep would trim the factory pinch seam and leave the rock rails extended ~1.5" longer.

I was originally thinking about an AEV 2.5" lift kit until learning about the 10A taller springs. Will be trying it out in stock form for a while before making the final decision.
I have been wondering the same thing about the Rock rails!??

Really like the Teraflex tire carrier as it keeps the wheel centered. With the 10A bumper, am able to put it on the lowest position (stock 32") which gives excellent visibility from the rear window.
Looks good, why do you not have the 10A wheels?? Did you change them?? Should be black with small red Jeep, not silver with small black Jeep!!

Has anyone that has done or is considering a lift kit figured out the difference in length between the regular Rubicon Unlimited springs and shocks and those on the 10A? I am still waiting on mine. Thanks!

Looking for your opinion... Are they far enough out of the way so you wouldn't hit your head on them getting in and out or worse yet contact them in an accident?
My opinion is going to be based purely in conjecture as I have two child seats in the back right now and only used th rear seat bar twice while one of the kids seats was out. I feel the design of the handle allows you to stay more "leaned back" then you are when trying to use the standard straps so you have plenty of room behind the handle so as to not hit your head on it. As far as in an accident I guess I don't think it's all that much worse. I'd be just as concerned about hitting my head on the roll bar.

I did because I'm getting a custom iPad mini fabricated in the dash in front of the standard 130 so as to keep all the Uconnect stuff. Mine will not only provide GPS that is constantly up to date but also.... Well everything else an iPad can do which is vast with the right apps both current and yet to be developed.

Good eye! You are correct. They're standard Rubi wheels. Got a set of these cheap and decided to make these my rock wheels. I'll store the black ones for later.

One more issue to look for. Chipped and badly repaired freedom panel corner. The touch up paint is the right color, but it's slopped on and no clear coat.

Thanks Doctorsti.

Two car seats you don't say... just found out last week that my wife is having twins and will have the same setup in a few months. Certainly happy we chose the 4 door!

I elected to not run the factory navigation systems. I do not see the point beyond a clean looking system. The OEM hardware and software installed in the Wrangler is already outmoded by what's native in the 2013 Ram, for instance. Hell, I think it is staggering when looking at what a top of the line Garmin can do for a litteral fraction of the cost of versus the 730N. Why am I going to pay for a hard drive that I am not going to use? I had 20 Gigs in my last car, and I never put anything on it. Why? Because smartphone.

Besides, it's cheaper to modify the sound system when you have a 130N vice the other two systems. Basically it's the same reasoning the guys with Wrangler Sports give when they are justifying not getting a Rubicon.

She's Home!

Finally received my Unlimited on Saturday morning! The dealer did an OK job detailing, it....so I thought. Then I drove it home on the wet roads and arrived at home with a mud covered baby. Ends up that there was mud caked up in the fender wells and they had never completely washed it off! Looks like someone else took it off road prior to me taking possesion...GRRRR! They will be detailing it again.
Also found upon my examination that they never undercoated the Jeep, as I had paid for, they only rust proofed it. Dealer says they will take care of me .....we'll see.

Yes. I am planning to upgrade the head unit, however. Thinking about the Kenwood DNX890HD. The 130 is actually pretty good, so I am in no rush. I will use a portable garmin I have in the meantime, when I need GPS.

Center LATCH Question

I know the 2013 has the latch system. I'm wondering if it has Center latch. Being that the Jeep doesn't have "real" doors or side curtain airbags, I'd rather put the car seat in the middle, and you're not supposed to use the two inboard lower anchors from the outboard passenger seats as an improvised center latch, unless things have just changed. Anyone who has taken delivery who knows feel free to reply. Thanks

The Unlimited does have a center LATCH position. (Page 85 of the .pdf owners manual.)

Sweet. Thanks. The kid will be looking like a little Jean Luc Picard, commanding our excursions from the center position. Of course he'll be facing the wrong way.
