Please do! I feel pretty lucky to be seeing delivery in less than 5 weeks. I ordered mid March. You can check out the spreadsheet for my exact info. I have it all up to date. I really think things in Toledo are coming together on these things. I look forward to providing updates and a full porn spread tomorrow or Wednesday. This forum kept me from losing my sanity so I hope to pay it forward in any way I can. She's classy though, so no freaky requests please.

ccBB,

Congrats on finally picking up your 10A! I am still - still - waiting. I ordered on the first day of the pre-sale. This is past the point of stupid and if I did not think that I am close to getting it, I would give Jeep the finger and walk off.

So, based on my order date, and the average number of days it takes to go from D1 to Delivered on the spreadsheet, the email from VOTS may be correct. The average would put me at 11 days from now to have my Jeep under my butt.

Also got my local credit union to match the PenFed rate of 1.74%. Nearly free money. Now the dealer wants to see if they can do even better. I like this game.

Chitty,

First of all Congrats! I ordered a 2 door, Anvil, manual, black on 1/15....still waiting. It is due this week finally. But, red I don't think was the delaying factor....probably manual.

Yeah it seems like manual 2dr was a big delay factor, still no joy for me either.

I thought maybe it was my imagination that when looking at my 10A head on it looked like it was leaning to the passenger side. Well it's now been 3 days and everywhere I park it the Jeep still looks to be leaning to the right.

I went out and measured it ground to lower edge of front fender right at the axle and its 5/8" shorter on the passenger side!!!!!!

WHAT THE HELL?

How about the measurement from center of hub or center cap to bottom of fender? Are they all equal? Bad shock maybe?

68196006AA is the part number on both front springs... so that doesn't look like the problem.

I will check center of axle to fender lip tomorrow.

thanks fellas! Critter just days away. My wait was well worth it.

Hang in there Espada. I was flexing in a singlet at my house - on several occasions, before coming THIS close to driving to the dealership, standing on a chair in the showroom and renouncing my Jeep loyalty. This is truly the best wrangler ever!

.. on that note... i used the Tread Lightly discount (what a frickin great deal that was - thanks to this forum) and the $500 off coupon i got in the mail from Jeep. No problems with either. I was credited $200 for the painted fenders that i didnt order, but now am happy i have them - i love em. the monotone anvil is awesome. out the door for 36k. Cant thank you guys enough for the Tread Lightly tip - saved me $2500-ish.

So i decided to take off the bumper caps. Thought it would take 2 mins. took me 30. When/if you do this, make sure you have a socket adapter for the torx bit that you'll need so you can use a drill. I did not. In order to get the two off that are on the inside part of the bumper, you also need to remove a plastic insert that covers the gap between the grill and bumper. not a huge deal but an unexpected chore.

When i got them out (after lots o crankin) and removed the caps, i realized that i really needed to put all of the bolts back in place. sooo wish i had a drill adapter.

there's 16 of these babies...

i hate you manual labor (yes, im that guy - at least i am on a monday evening around midnight)

heres the bumper from the inside, with the bolts back in place. Those clips were also a pain when putting the bolts back in - they spin around ugh, so you have to secure them while ratcheting. a non-issue with a drill.

anyway.. just thought i'd share. looks better without the 'wings'

OK ... you must be taking those with an iPad or iPhone. If that's the case, lock the rotation and see if that helps.

I keep trying to look at your cool photos - we need to learn how to do backflips.

Anvil color from Dumpster or Plymouth?

I know the popular theory says the anvil color combo came from a dumpster or it was the Italian influence from Fiat but this AutoSpies.com photo shows the combo can be traced back to a Plymouth from the mid 1900's.

Wouldn't be as badass of a story if they said it was inspired by a Plymouth...Definitely interesting for sure...

Check all the perches to make sure the springs are well seated.

A shock won't do that ... maybe a bad spring.

Mine measures 22.0" front and 22.5" rear... center hub to bottom of fender lips.

It could be a driver side rear spring pushing the passenger side front spring down. Don't be surprised if the dealer says Chysler has a 3/4" skew tolerance from side-to-side, front-to-rear and corner-to-corner.

I've heard all this before with Toyota.
