I was actually able to get 1.49 from Alliant. Anyone can become a member by making a $10 donation to one of their charities that they have listed on their site (thanks dcstein).

I actually meant that my dealer was contacting Chase to see if they could beat the 1.79.

1.79 was close enough to the 1.49, that I did not think it was worth the trouble of securing financing on my own.

The crazy wait is over!

Today it ended......it was worth the wait. None of the issues on the punch list affected mine, my sales dude/orderer got everything right, no unwanted painted fenders, etc it was exactly as I requested, what a relief that was! The trade was basically what we discussed nearly four months ago and the pre-price increase quote was honored.

I will try to post pics tomorrow!

My 1st Post...

Well, thanks to all you manipulative a$$holes, I got sucked into this maniacal infatuation with this Jeep. Yes, I traded in the loaded 2013 Sahara I picked up 4 months ago, and today ordered myself a 10A. And now, I have 5k negative equity dumped into my new loan. Thanks a lot.

And So.. my long, laborious, tedious, journey through the ugly-wait begins. I have a fully monotone Black Unlimited coming in with that succulent Red Leather interior. *Insert Errrrection here*. I agonized for days and nights about what color to go with. I LOVE them all. I narrowed it down to White or Billet, then I narrowed it down to Anvil or Black , then I narrowed it down to.... you get the point. No? Here's some more;

Billet. It just didn't pop enough, but I think in the brochure, with the action shots, the Billet looks the best.... and it is the best color to have contrast-wise if you don't do Mono.

White. Tempted me because it is by far the most elegant of the bunch, and it is rarely been picked. Being a Torontonian... it looks like Captain Canada's Jeep with the red interior, that's kinda cool and lame at the same time. But I just can't see myself in a white jeep for some reason, especially when I wheel this bee-ach.

Anvil. Here is where it got really hard. There were more than a few times I said, "Anvil, Anvil is what I am getting damn it!". I love how it transforms in different lighting, and I love matte colors for some reason. I also thought maybe an Anvil jeep would hold its value the best, due to it being available only for this jeep. But, I've learned over the years, you don't buy any vehicle for future profit... they are not good investments. Besides, it could actually limit future buyers, realistically its not for everyone. I also still can't decide if it clashes with the red too much, and red is a must... the red interior on these whores is way HAWT!

Black. Everyone loves Black baby, it's the shiznit. Nothing, and I mean NOTHIN..looks better than a polished, Black automobile... especially at night under street lights*sha-wing!*. Black never goes out of style. Black is stealth. Black is mean, it's BADAZZ people. The Black and Red on this truck, it quite literally gives me wood. So in the end, I had to choose the color that gave me a boner... right? hmm

All that said. My new friends, ...... has ANYONE SEEN A PIC(S) OF AN ALL BLACK, (BODY COLORED ROOF AND FENDERS & pref. UNLIMITED), 10A RUBICON?????

SORRY...oops, caps was still on. Sorry about the Giant, semi- obnoxious lettering up above, but I figure half the people won't read this post in all it's perpetual glory, and I didn't want them to miss my pathetic plea for pictures of a jeep I am unusually and uncharacteristically...childish even actually, about obsessing over.

That's all I got, my fingers are exhausted.

The 10A may be the last factory Rubicon offered with 4.10 AT combo. You will feel it in your foot more than you will in your wallet MPG wise...especially if you increase tire size. Good luck. 4.10 FTW.

Why am I going to pay for a hard drive that I am not going to use? I had 20 Gigs in my last car, and I never put anything on it. Why? Because smartphone.

Besides, it's cheaper to modify the sound system when you have a 130N vice the other two systems. Basically it's the same reasoning the guys with Wrangler Sports give when they are justifying not getting a Rubicon.
+1...think long-term and these systems will be tomorrow's car phones and cassette players. a standard 130 with uconnect will always look clean and function as a stereo should. i have a 730n in another vehicle and I am unable to utilize all of it's features...so it sits while my iphone does everything better, faster, and easier.

Greetings!

Hello all! New guy here who should be sleeping but instead hyper-stoked to pick up his new 10A tomorrow! (2dr, Anvil/Red, monotone, 4.10 AT, 430n, remote start). Gotta say good-bye to my 2012 JK Sahara (triple black, 6-speed) who will be my sacrificial lamb (trade-in that is!) to make this possible! I appreciate all the great info I've gotten this past month, sharing the agony of waiting & the ecstasy of delivery, and thought it's high time I ante-up and join the party. Looking forward to this club & can't wait to introduce my a$$ to that red cowhide and my right foot to the pedal on the right!

Hey WonderJeep, I think you are right! IAMJEEP told me today the train should make it to Mira Loma on 4/24 That's less than 50 miles to my dealer. The dealer says it will be on their lot on Saturday. I hope it gets there sooner. Needless to say I'll be stalking my dealership until she arrives I can't seem to find her in Jeep's inventory though. The dealership has a number of Jeeps showing "In Transit" but not mine. Does yours show up?

I can agree to everything written in the post except the words "baby", and "shiznit". I went through everything and am still going through everything stated from the colors to the excitement.

I ended up going with Black/Red for the exact same reasons.

Congrats on your order. Ill post pics of mine in the next couple of weeks if she ever arrives.

yeah wilson, I just try to justify why espada had to wait so long. Most of my posts are of joking tone however. I do not consider myself a professional by any means, just try to help out when I can and have a good time. I am glad you got that figured out because your jeep looks sick! (and my neck was hurting from turning it )

I really went through some times on the color. I have the black/red with plastic fenders and roof. It is awesome, truly awesome. Some of the pics we have seen of black recently testify to that end. I had the combination you are looking for actually ordered and had it changed. I think it was due to usage. I do intend to use it off road, hunting , fishing, etc. Just yesterday i saw a REGULAR Jeep in town with a nice noticable crack through a painted fender and wondered how that happended and how easy it would be to fix if he had plastic fenders.....I know a guy in town with an all painted black unlimited Sahara, and it is quite stunning. It's really all about choice. Now that i saw the black with the winch, lift, and 35's posted above, it's like wow, i wasn't planning to modify, but HOW DO YOU NOT after seeing that Jeep!
Also, google up the Dragon Jeep concept for a pretty good idea of what the all painted black unlimited will look like, with mods, pretty awesome.

Thanks, all! Every one of you were right, this Jeep is so worth it. It's like a giant toy that I can actually use every day.

It was dusk, and quickly coming on to night when I picked my JKR10A from Criswell. I know that it is generally a "no-no" to buy a car when it is dark, but c'mon... 1/3 of a year's wait, man! . Either way from what I had seen of the interior my Jeep passed the "officially unofficial WF.com new JKR10A/JKUR10A punch list." I did note some level of minor surface rust on the drive shaft, but that was about it for that known BOLO.

Said my wife: "It's bouncy, I don't know about this! Are all Jeeps like this!?" Yes, baby, the two doors generally feel like this. Embrace the ride, embrace it! . Needless to say, I love it!!!! It's fun in the same way a motorcycle is fun: it makes any trip feel like an adventure. I figured that out in the 69 miles I've put on it last night.

Again, thank you all for the advice, information, and words of encouragement. I look forward to seeing you on the road, and of course on the trail!

I hope it gets there sooner. Needless to say I'll be stalking my dealership until she arrives I can't seem to find her in Jeep's inventory though. The dealership has a number of Jeeps showing "In Transit" but not mine. Does yours show up?

Showing up on my dealers website but not on the Jeep site... Lol. Guess it could be anywhere! hopefully right next to yours on its way to Mira Loma. Was in the New Mexico desert Monday so theyre making their way over!

That looks awsome!! But, aren't you worried that once you get out on a trail (and flex that suspension), there will be some serious rubbing/contact with the fenders? I'm curious because I'm interested in that same setup. Also, what is the backspacing on those wheels?

FAQ...

Dropping tire pressure from 47 to 39 lbs. will result in a .2 reduction in fuel mileage.
