Just got back from auto show and 10A looks outstanding!!! Red seats a little lighter than deep cherry red look awesome! Anvil looks teal to me a blue/green. The km2 look great! These 10A blow the regular rubi away IMO! You won't be disappointed believe me. I can't wait to get my black one with those red seats there awesome!

I also went to the auto show today and I'm really excited by what I saw. The pictures aren't doing it justice. it's absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I sat in both front seats and if i can figure out how to put a picture up here, i'll post it.

I agree, pictures ruin how the seats & color look. Everyone who thought the red seats look awful are misled by the lighting.

Unique paint colors include Billet Silver, a bright White, and Anvil, which was actually based on the color of a trash can in the Jeep design shop.
So was it the Nukizer AND the Mighty FC??? Things that make you go hmmm....

Doc- now Im really confused. I knew I read it somewhere.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but the new rear bumper does work completely with the AEV tire carrier in a post on their forum Dave from AEV wrote this:

Ok here is the deal:
Our bumpers were made from the start to be no compromise ultimate in strength and durability, cost was not a concern. Styling was a close second for us. Aev bumpers were never truly intended to go into full production, they were far too expensive, too thick, too much emphases on actual performance.

When designing for production, cost is truly just about the number one priority and that comes down to how it's made, materials, etc. The fact that our bumpers made it into production is really quite amazing given the costs of a product that was never intended to be sold in such volumes. The 10 bumpers are made from the beginning to be cost effective for production, are they going to take a deer hit at 55+mph? Probably not. They are good looking bumpers, but certainly not a replacement for the aev.

Yes, they were designed for the aev tire carrier from the beginning.

As for the hood...it did come out a little too similar in my opinion...but oh well...there is some history there with Jeep watching what we do very closely.

I really hope I can order the 10A up here in Canada. Any fellow Canadians get a order in?

No, it's lighter, blue/green look. If I wasn't getting black anvil would look great! Maybe Caveman could confirm?

Doc is absolutly right. That color was awsome. Much lighter than I thought from the photos I saw. in the sun light, I'm sure it will look different still. I'm sticking by my decision to go with black. However, not one person will be disappointed with Anvil. It was not light blue......not grey....something uniqly in between. Nobody should be second guessing their decision to order an Anvil Jeep.

Wow the 10th Anniversary is getting slammed pretty good on the AEV forum. They confirmed that not a single part on the 10th Anniversary Edition is from AEV although they do look surprisingly similar. They did say the rear bumper is compatible with the tire carrier they make but the bumper is not theirs, nor is the front bumper. The bumpers on the Moab are AEV, you'd think they would go just as high end on the 10th.

I am going to the Philly Auto show tomorrow morning and I hope they have a 10th there but I'm not holding my breath. Philly never gets anything good. I just hope that the solid stamped steel bumpers that tie into the frame on the Moab are not far better then what they put on the top tier 10th.

Hey, if you don't want any of the other three colors, Anvil will not disappoint. I will tell you for certain that if you don't get a10A you will certainly regret it for a long time. I saw and I love period!!

Yeah I agree I was also hoping for the darker shade we see on the FC. I'm really hoping to see this tomorrow to put my mind at ease.

It does look a little more like Nukizer's Trash Can Gray in this picture so maybe the guesses by some folks that it's literally a mix of the two is not too far off. The Nukizer is more gray but lighter and the FC is more teal/blue but darker.

This seems to be both.

I've never put $ down for a deposit on a vehicle. I usually order the vehicle loaded pretty well so its not like its not gonna sell. I'll be going somewhere else. I've tried to buy twice from this dealership since they are 1 mile from my home and my Jeeps get serviced there. Looks like they are 0 for 3 jeeps!

It's one of those colors that pictures just don't "catch it,"like with the red seats.

Ya the AEV guys seem a little pissed about it. And the AEV fanboys are bashing the 10A pretty hard. I've been a big fan of AEV but honestly think these new bumpers look awesome. Only thing I would change is making the step on the rear bumper a little longer.

Have you ordered a Jeep before? Why are you so against the deposit? It goes towards your down payment. It isn't like they are pocketing an extra $500. If I recall, those that didn't put down a deposit were unable to have their order be a sold order.

Since this month the 10A is restricted to sold orders, you might not be able to participate in the pre sale if you refuse the deposit.

I'm in Saskatchewan. Jeep dealers here have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask them. They look at me like I'm stupid. Any luck with you?

I had to inform the one that I went with how to get it ordered for me also. Seems like when they released these for sale to the public ahead of being released to them it kind of caught them off guard. I also had to go with a dealer about a hundred miles from me. The one here in town kept dragging their feet after I had called the guy at 8 am to let him know that he could now order my Jeep and told him how to do it. So at 3 pm when he still hadn't gotten the order placed I called the other one that I had been into see only one time when I was up there visiting a family member. He got right on it while I was on the phone and got it done. Then he sent a salesman out to where I am so look at my trade and I gave that guy 500 dollars towards my Jeep. I think I will give them 500 more each month until it arrives. Kind of like a lay-a-way program.

You kinda have a point. But since I ordered a 2007 JKU back when they came standard with 4:10 and were selling out everywhere(no deposit needed), it seemed the same to me. I still think I'm doing the dealer a favor since he can't order for his lot anyway. I think I need to call that dealer and see what he's willing to do. Since it is the 10A, I might be willing to put down $100. Even if I didn't follow through on the deal, that 10A wouldn't last 3 days on the dealer's showroom floor.

Here's probably the best Anvil interpretation on the net so far. It's from a site who's business revolves around paint color classification and accuracy, and not some iffy Jeep brochure sample or article. It depends greatly on if your monitor is calibrated correctly too, as you know.

Color Codes - Chrysler model/year code DS Cross-Reference

The rest of the confirmed and not confirmed 2013-14 Wrangler paint color samples can be seen on my paint samples thread...
