That is what my dealer told me. It ended up being 6.5.

NICE!! Got the same Jeep coming but with Black seats. Are your wheels hub centric? What back spacing do they have? How far out do they stick past the flares? I like the wide look, but I really want to keep it legal! Also, love the Teraflex tire carrier! I was going to go with AEV until I saw the Teraflex - keeps the tire centered and lower for better visibility. Could you take a photo of the rear with a full view of the back of the Jeep? Since you're running 35's, did you use the 35 setting for the carrier bolts or did you use the 32 setting? I heard the 10A bumper allows for a lower bolt setting. Is this true?

Hopefully this saves time to anyone who will get the winch on 10a

Was supposed to take delivery of my Unlimited 10a today (Anvil/Red, BC Flares/Top, 4.10, Engine block heater, Auto, Max tow, Supplemental bags, Auto, A/C auto temp.) but when they tried to put winch on (Warn 9500 CTI) they told me they needed winch mounting plate.

Turns out guy at Warn was wrong when he told me the winch had everything for install.

Called WARN and told them and guy said they made mistake and it needs a winch mounting plate which is manufactured by AEV because AEV makes the bumper.

So I called Matt at AEV and he told me their plate doesn't fit 10a and they did NOT make the bumper.

They only make bumper for Moab and COD.

He said it is a Mopar bumper and needs special Mopar mounting plate for it

Called dealer parts guy and told him and he called Mopar and they had no idea.

Have a call into my Jeep factory connection...will update as soon as I know with exact part #.

I will pick up tomorrow and wait for the winch part to be straightened out.

Cheers!

I see on the mega-spreadsheet that it tracks the actual order statuses well and the elapsed times between each state...that's awesome.

Quick question - does anyone have any feel for the elapsed time from the point where your order is placed/entered by the dealer and when a VON is generated and given back to you? We placed our order last Friday (19APR) but to date we have not gotten one yet. Called the dealer and the associate was working with a customer and said he'd track it down and call me back. At this point I don't think I'll get an answer tonight. What's the typical lead time to get this? Wondering if I need to escalate with the dealer and find out what's going on.

Oh fellow 10A gurus, what say you?

You should have left the dealer with a VON

The VON should be generated when your order is placed. It is literally an order number and the unique ID of your sale. VIN generation happens around the parts being allotted, which should be D status. At that point you will start tracking via the VIN. VON tracking is not even worth it, but we all do it because it's the only thing we have/had.

Funny thing, I went by the dealership to get a peek at my new ride. They were basically closing but I found a guy to take me to see it in the detailing bay. He said he was the Internet sales person. He asked me to get that thing purchased as soon as possible because he was tired of 20 - 30 calls a day from people wanting to buy it as soon as it came in!

First time buying a jeep in AB and landed up going with the 10a, thanks to some persuasion! Just reserved mine at the dealer and hoping to get it in about 6 weeks they are saying (currently in d). Can't wait! Reading this thread gets me so pumped up! Only have seen one other one here so far!!

It was made by Quality Metalcraft or something like that. Go to the 10A Mod thread and read what Parker65 mentioned. He is probably going to fabricate his own winch plate. And there was another guy who already has one installed. On the same thread I think.

Though, I have relatives in town leaving on the 6th, so I would love to get it before then.
Sounds like we may all be in the same train. Would be great if mine arrives at the dealer by 5/8 also so they can prep it and be ready for pickup on 5/10. I live in LA county but the dealer is in the OC so need to plan around a trip down to get it.

On another note, how good are Chrysler dealers about servicing vehicles (under warranty or not) when they we purchased at another dealership? Just in case any issues arise a week or more after pickup - would be a total PITA to try to get back to the delivery dealership midweek...

This is a great question. I live and work in Beverly Hills and I am purchasing my 10A in Irvine/Lake Forrest area which is over 60 miles away which really equates to 600 miles away with the traffic we get here and I have no idea where to take my 10A for service, etc. Anyone in the area have any ideas? Do they give loaner cars? I am coming out of a BMW in which the service experience was a 10/10 and have no idea how the service experience (or where the service) is for Jeep in my area. Help?

KZO here.

I'm really hoping this is a non-issue and is a normal step in the shipment process...

Even with the "Jeep" mounting kit, don't expect the winch fairlead to be centered.

When you remove the cover which has Rubicon written on it to expose the fairlead hole, you will find that it's approximately 1.75 inches closer to the left side than the right. It's off center, and with the small amount of flat space between the crush cans it becomes "very" obvious to the naked eye.

This is why when I finish my axle trusses and lift I'm fabbing my own. I haven't gotten into the details since I'm concentrating on the suspension at the moment. If I can mount the winch at the proper height between the frame rails with the drum centered, then I will figure out how I'm going to correct this off center hole in the bumper to match the winch mount.

If your not OCD about your vehicles like I am then the offset will not bother you. i just prefer things to be symetrical.

Also the part number you've posted isn't showing up as being in the pipeline as of yet. It could be another 60-90 days before it's available.
