I would have gone black too but my 2011 was black and I wanted a change. I went Anvil because it was supposed to be "unique." At least I haven't seen any other 10A's around town yet.

The JKU is basically already fulfills the role of offroad family mover that the old Cherokee did, so it makes no sense to bring back the Cherokee in its old form.

Jeep needs to compete with the Rav4, CRV, Escape segment. They all look very similar. One thing about the new Cherokee is that it has a real low range as far as I hear, which is pretty cool for a unit-body cross over.

Wow, hadn't thought about that! Just assumed they were different since longer springs were used. I certainly welcome input from anyone that knows for sure or knows how to trace/research the part numbers on the wranglers!

Went on teraflex site and couldn't find the 8 arm lift.
Is it something additional?

All this talk of lifts and springs has got me thinking (dangerous I know). I will be adding a lift at the dealership. What parts of the stock suspension should I receive back from the dealership?

Is there a GOOD lift kit that offers 3" lift?
Teraflex?
AEV?
RK?

Most of the Teraflex spring lifts are pretty modular. This way you can buy as much or as little as you need or can afford at the time. This includes the long arm kits.

For example, say you want a 2.5 or 3 inch kit. You get the springs and the neccessary brackets to relocate the trackbar. If you want shocks they are an option, different brands and types, i.e. - Teraflex or Fox. If you want adjustable control arms to recenter the axle in the wheelwell, as well as correct caster and driveshaft angles they are also an option. You can buy the arms in pairs, all of the front or rear or a package with the entire 8. Their lifts are very flexible, no pun intended, for tailoring to your needs and wants.

I purchased the short arm pre-runner. This is the same as the Mopar stage 3. With the Mopar the arms are fixed to work with the kit as a whole. Teraflex did these on a large purchase order for Mopar and they are warehoused by Mopar. By working with Northridge 4x4 i ordered the kit from Teraflex. By doing this they essentially built my kit at Teraflex, and since the fixed arms are no longer done with their kits, I received adjustable ones.

The drawback was that the short arm pre-runner kit only comes with 6 arms. I wanted all 8 so I just ordered the 2 upper front arms seperately. If I decide later down the road that I want the longarm kit, all I have to do is order the longarms and brackets since the other components will still work just fine with them.

Talk with one of the vendors here or the vendor of your choice to obtain what you really want/need at a reasonable cost.

Mopar stage 3/ Teraflex pre-runner is 3"

AEV offers a 3.5" lift of high qaulity

RK's 2.5 lifts are being reported by members on this forum to actually deliver 3 or more once installed.

Picked mine up yesterday. Brought it home and while I was adjusting the radio settings, the A/C blew up! Green refrigerant sprayed all over the place. Brought it to the dealership and they can't figure it out yet. Drove it a whole 20 miles! Man oh man....

Very detail info and thank you!
Very new to the JK world which has much more lift components than a pickup lifted.
My JK will be used as a daily driver on 35's with the odd mud trails here and there. But I will in no way be doing it every weekend as we don't have much around me.
Thoughs on a 2.5"-3" kit?

Sure it wasn't coolant from a blown off radiator or coolant hose. I believe this is the second we've heard of on the forum although the first 10A.

Just measured and the front ground to lower most portion of fender lip at the front axle is 1.5" higher on the 10A. Rear axle ground to fender measurement is 3/4" higher on the 10A.

My time is coming brotha's from otha motha's & sista's from otha mista's. The Beast lay waiting for his new master to arrive. I have yet to see a Black 10A with a mono hard top. Ladies and Gentleman, feast your eyes on my new Rig, many more pics to come over the next 72hrs, (0 & yes, she has that sweet-azz Red Leather inside *pitches tent between legs*);

PS; Can anyone point me to that spreadsheet of flaws to look for, when I go saddle up this Monster???

The cherokee does not look that good in Anvil. Hopefully that was only for the car show.

The AEV 2" spacer lift comes with adapters to lower the top shock mount locations in the back and raise the lower shock mount locations in the front. Along with bump stops to limit compression. A very well thought out lift for the money IMO.
