6spd vibration

Hey guys. I got the little annoying vibration. Not actually from the manual tranny. Its coming from the transfer case handle or the cover/center console around it. If i hold the transfer case lever to the left it is quiet. I know someone has mentioned this before. I'll probably have my dealer look at it and the water dripping sound on start up when I bring it in for first oil change.

But by no means do either of these things bother me in the bit right now. This jeep is so awesome!!!!!

Does anyone know if there is screw in the door panel facing outwards to the lower left of the exterior driver door handle button? Just noticed that there is an imperfection right below my door handle, looks like a screw went too far and is just slightly up against the sheet metal. Looks like a pimple or zit on the paint... Tried to take a photo but it isn't showing up well. Any ideas?

That trickling water sound is just an air bubble in your cooling system. I had the same thing in my CG JKUS. Just tell the dealer's maintenence people to "burp" your jeep.

Hello everyone, I am a newb from OC area.
My monotone anvil/red leather/JKUR10A will be at the dealer tomorrow (order ed April 4, 2013). I have learned tremendously from other members and have a list of mods in mind. Thank you all.

Well I haven't read all 448 pages, but I didn't need to to order a Billet Silver/Black Unlimited today. I can't wait to get it! Trading my 2011 Rubi Unlimited and it's sad ass 3.8 and that even sadder auto tranny (that sucked in TJ's) for this great looking rig. Can't wait!

Rascal, are you running those 285/75/17 with a lift at all? I was thinking they might just fit under there with no issues.

Yeah an AEV 2.5 lift. You could probably fit the tire under stock vehicle no problem. If your crawl you may have clearance issues when you flex. Maybe....

265/70 is the same height but wider than a 245/75. Both measure 31.7" tall.

The rubbed corner on the hood was painted and the good news is they matched the Anvil perfectly on the first ten times I have looked at it . :-)

The replacement hard top is on order. Executive Referral Manager is personally involved from corporate but really my dealer making it right. They are being great about it.

Interesting, the dealer just received an all Anvil 10A and it has the paint issues in the doors too. Not as bad as mine was but showed me that I should stay with my first and only 10A instead of chancing worse luck on another. I know my girl's problems and still love her with her few imperfections. However, she is working through them and we're bonding more :-) the dealer had her for three days, I almost gave her a hug when I saw her again! If it wasn't for this thread I may be a bit more concerned about this strong emotional response to her. :-)

Originally I had inquired with him to see if he could make the headliners in a red material to match the upholstery but since I don't have my Jeep yet all I could do was snatch several pics off of a Google Images search and send it to him. His reply was that it looked like 3 different shades of red (the subject vehicles were always Anvil) and the picture of the swatch he had in mind was a garnet red, way too dark. But he might be able to track down alternate suppliers if the demand was there.

Now that some folks have actually taken delivery and may be in Southern CA (Orange County / Irvine) and can show him the shade of red in person, he might be up for the task of rollbar covers as well as the headliners for the 10A's.

Perhaps you can give it a shot and let us know what he comes back with...

Rascal, how much lift did you end up getting with the AEV 2.5? I would even be happy knowing the ground to bottom of fender measurements you now have, since we have the same tires. I have those exact same tires on mine with stock rims and no lift, but cannot decide on the AEV 2.5" suspension or their 2" spacer lift. AEV could not tell me how much actual lift I would get over the stock 10A springs.

So as I'm waiting for my 10A to arrive I've been debating on a lift. I like the look of the Rancho 3" trail kit rs66107. This says it is a 3 inch lift. Given the 10A is already higher than a standard rubi, will it be more like 2"?

It is only 1/2" taller due to the tire/wheel combo. After spring sag after a month or so there likely isn't even a difference.
