For that much money you can get a bigger and better winch. I was looking at the powerplant but dunno if it will fit

We can only hope at that price that its a 'kit' that includes the mounting plate. As much as I want to 'complete the package', that price tag would cause me to reconsider...

I know right! The Warn 9.5 CTI-S is only $1450. That was a quote straight from the parts counter though. I'm going to ask what kind of pricing they will give me if I role it into the price of the Jeep. If all goes according to schedule that should be NLT monday. I'll keep you posted on the price I'm quoted.

Here are the part numbers if anyone else is interested. I actually got these on this forum several thousand posts ago so I'm not sure who originally posted or when.

Winch: 82213746

Bracket: 82213840

Tac, the wait is worth it, mine had paint issues that the dealer has been working for two weeks, it will never be quite right, also they washed her and now they have to get the paint swirl scratches out of her hood, felt sick when I saw what they did. I have hand waxed her twice already and they damaged her just washing her once.

Hammer, I feel for you. She's supposed to be shiny and without warts when she arrives. If you're anything like me in a year she'll have enough brush marks to make all of paint imperfections a moot issue. Is the dealer going to clear coat over the swirlies for you?

Talking Thanks to Pat and his Fields Family

After lurking on this forum from almost the beginning...
After holding my tongue during Anvilgate...
After almost joining the winch riot mob...
After waiting 2 months for my Jeep to be built...

I finally had to post to thank Pat for all he does here. I picked up my Black/Red JKUR 10A from Fields Jeep in Sanford Florida and I could not be happier. Thanks for all you do here Pat...

Here is my post on Yelp:

"I drove 500 miles from Atlanta through thunderstorms to pick up my new special edition Jeep from Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Sanford, Florida.

Why on earth would I do that?

Because they came very highly recommended (not only on Yelp) and proved their reputation by beating 2 of my local Atlanta Jeep dealer's best offers on: price, trade-in, financing, AND down payment. I spent months researching my order, and knew that Pat (from the Chicago Fields Jeep location) was a legend on the Jeep Forum. After disappointment with my local dealer's best offers and high pressure sales tactics, I contacted Pat. He put me in touch with Brian Williams in Florida who guided me patiently through my two month wait for my Jeep to be manufactured and delivered. When I arrived at Fields in Florida I was treated like a celebrity by my entire sales team: Brian Williams, Ty Brown, and Eddie Santiago.

When the time comes to buy a new vehicle I will be making the 8 hour trip back to Fields Jeep."

I bought mine in texas and didn't have a famous sales man or famous dealership but I think it's something about the 10a that just brings that celebrity feel. Every sales man came out to
See it as well as all the financing guys. Said they never come see new cars but everyone was waiting for this jeep to come in. I was Afraid tht would lead to a "20 mile" trip to the gas station for the full up, but got her with just 2 miles

How long does it take from order placement to initial email stating your status? I placed my order last night but haven't gotten an email nor can I check VOTS though I have a VON on my order sheet.

Wow, for that price you can buy a 9.5cti-s and pretty much a new front bumper...

Have a look at the 10A spreadsheet for some history of members experience. Feel free to add yourself in as well:

Rubicon 10A Spreadsheet

p.s. - the first email usually coincides with D status

Yeah, but it's a 10A winch! I'm going with the 9.5cti (not -S). My winch isn't going to get enough use and I don't want the synthetic rope going out on me from UV rays and stuff.

Got a surprise phone call today. She came in and picked her up tonight! Ordered on 4/1. Only issues were a scratch on the drivers door panel; they are ordering a new panel. And a missing battery terminal cover. When I asked about it they walked around (I walked with them, none of the 3 or 4 other jeeps on the lot had battery covers either; weird. Parts guy couldn't find a part number. Anyone else run into this?

Otherwise spotless, that won't last long. It will never be this clean again.

Missing battery terminal covers are so common that they're not even considered missing anymore. Mine didn't have them either.

Just picked up last night. Want to mention that I was part of the comical mass email from Chrysler a few weeks back (sent to the early may delivery production batch) which read "apologize for delay, will get it early may, want to make sure quality control in force, etc.". Anyway- Mine appears flawless and I cldnt be happier in my first few hours with it. Hopefully everyone else in this group/batch has same experience!

I was part of the mass email group, too, and I have had mine for a week today.

So far, no issues I have found - no paint issues, no rust issues, everything was in place ... even the grab handles. The hardtop did not even leak when we had a monsoon earlier this week.

Yeah, me too. I found some additional small NIBS on the drivers side yesterday. A couple of very small ones on the center strip between the front and rear driver's side doors, and several just along the rear driver's side door lower seal/lip area. I think that's about 35 or more now total. Again, these wouldn't be noticed by most, but in the sun on that side i saw these. Last week they tried to fix some on the other side by getting them flat, which was good, but now they show more than before. I had a neighbor stop by with his Mustang, which is a super nice black one which was painted local and we found a few of these NIBS after looking for them. He hadn't noticed them....What the heck, you guys with black please check real close and post if all well or not. Is it the color that just shows every little detail, or just a freak lousy paint job in this case?

Picked her up last night! 2 words, AWESOME!

Dealership experience was painless, on par with when we bought the wife's Lexus, so I think that says a lot.

There was one issue, there is a paint chip in the very front passenger corner of the hard top main section that I attribute more to road hazard than manufacturing defect. Otherwise, it was flawless. They are scheduling it to go into the best body shop in town so it will be right soon. Not to worried about a perfect match because the top is not going to be on it for the next 3 years in tropical sunlight so they are going to fade differently anyways.

Gotta say, thanks to the 10A support group through this. Without you guys I would have fallen off the wagon and bought a 'regular' Jeep (Kidding of course).

Oh, and it looks like I won the prize for highest tire pressure 48 and 49 COLD! No wonder I couldn't keep it going in a straight line on the way home.

KZ this morning, IAMJEEP had no shipping date avaliable, at the advice of a forum member, called the dealer and got an expected delivery date of May 17th. Things are moving along, if the expected date of delivery holds true, then it will have been a 28 day process from initial order to delivery, surprising to me, considering how long others have had to wait.

Mine had 15 miles - most I've heard other than those where the dealer has to drive it as part of shipping - I think the owner of the dealership took it for a test drive - not cool but how can I blame him. My salesman told me the owner wanted one after seeing mine but couldn't order it last week due to allocation restrictions.
