Please don't tell me my MDH of 041302 means it was built during the second shift on a Saturday... Lol. Just my luck I bet.

Just kidding - thanks for the info! I ordered mine with air conditioning and was searching the interwebs looking for details about the difference!
Actually I think I had a major brain fade on this one. When I built my jeep I assumed "AC with auto temp control" as an option meant that if you didn't get this option, you didn't get AC at all. That sounds a little silly. Oh well I got auto temp control and a filter for 150 bucks. I really do like dual climate control. I set my temp to 60 my wife turns hers to 90. In the TJ we just kept battling over the temp knob. The rear vents are good whiny kid prevention. Air conditioned seats. The Raptor comes with those, so you can jump berms in comfort. Actually come to think about it air conditioned seats would be nice for 4 wheeling. I always found my self to be glued to the seat back after a trip down the trail with the top off. Of course it's just more stuff to break, and I'm picturing dust blowing out of the perforations in the air conditioned seats after a day of wheeling. Jeep Rubicon, now with dust conditioning.

Genesbro, not sure which thread it was exactly, I am sure a search would turn it up, but you can get the filters from NAPA for about $23 - $25, it includes both (Need 2), according to other owners, the filters are easy to put in place, and still have the same function as the auto climate, since they are only actually used when you have the recirc on, as I understand it.

I haven't got them yet, but read through the thread and looked behind my glove box, does seem easy to do.

If I stumble back on the thread, I will post a link, but I found it through search, hope this helps.

Wolf, congrats man, I'm sure Chrysler set your ecu to bog as revenge

Oh and I still plan on calling IAMJEEP on my 10A on the drive home to "see" where my jeep is

For about half a second I actually wondered if some angry assembly line worker would take revenge on my jeep, before snapping back to reality. So far though the jeep seems to be perfect. Can't wait to take if off road.

Found the part number to the cabin air filters that work with the auto climate control from NAPA

NAPA Enviroshield Cabin Air Filter 4302

Believe the MOPAR part number is 12052.907.9310

Sounds good, I called IamJeep to get the owners manual, maybe it will tell in there about how to change them when dirty or something. Thanks for the tip.

Out of curiosity, just looked at dealer website and my VIN is now on their inventory, delivery is scheduled for MAY 17, but now wondering if it is actually on the lot.

looked on JEEP.com, but wasn't showing on the dealer inventory search there, and cant see the window sticker from the dealer site (doesn't give the option for the link )

might have to take a drive to the dealer Monday (would never live it down if I did it on Mothers Day!!!) to see if my rig is there or still in transit...

I have, you do need to remove the entire bumper. The passenger tow hook needs to be removed as well.

When I visit the site, the only air conditioning option is "Air Conditioning with automatic temperature control."

I chose that option. Are you saying that I may STILL have ordered an inferior AC unit?

That would be the one with the cabin air filter included, and was the AC upgrade option, I could not justify it personally, for me the AC is off or on full blast. When I found out I could buy the filters and install them myself, figured I would save the $155 factory option.

but to answer your question, you did order the upgraded AC.

Aaaaaah. Good. So AC comes standard, and if I had not selected the Air Conditioning w/Auto Temp Control option, would it just be regular AC?

If there are three 10A options, are they as follows?
1. No Air Conditioning, not available on 10A???
2. Air Conditioning without Auto Temp Control???
3. Air Conditioning w/Auto Temp Control

Am I catching on now?

Good luck, hope you find it on the lot Monday. I just went over 650 miles on the OD today. Was out playing in the dirt trying some stuff where lockers are the rule. Doing it with the lockers off feels just like doing it in the X model. Switch on the lockers and before where the was wheel spin before the brake lock thing got it up and over now it just rolls on over without even the hint of tire spin. I Love This Jeep.

I missed this post and had some brain fade/panic myself. Disregard my previous air conditioning freak-outs.

Received all the manuals this week and just took a look. It makes reference to the A/C Air Filter on page 402 but that's about it. "See your authorized dealer for service"......

On the example above, "Date of MFR" is listed as "1-96" which is "January 1996". At the bottom left of the plate the Month, Day and Hour of manufacturer is listed as "MDH 010615", this means that the vehicle was built January ("01"), 6th ("06") at 3:00PM ("15").

My MDH is 040702 = April 7th at 2AM

WJ.. hilarious, but the MDH is when it passed through final inspection at the end of production.

What are there so many differences with our 10A's? I mean other than the options. I have four red tow hooks and my window stickers say 2 in front 1 in the rear. Red interior black switches. I have four red shocks but saw in another post a person having black shicks. What else is out there that is different? This is my first Jeep, is this normal?

Jim
Anchorage AK.

Oh ya, picked mine 10A up today, supposedly the first in Alaska. Two others are coming in this coming Monday...

Jim, if your referring to lithia, mine should be here next week sometime. (Unless they told you on Monday for the other two, mine included)

The "standard" equipment for rubicon is 2front 1 rear, but under 10A package it reads red front and rear tow hooks.

Black "seaters" get red switches and black stitches. Red seaters get black switches with red stitches.

Mine will be the only anvil in anchorage with black seats. I checked and the other one is a loaded 10A anvil with red seats. Mine and yours are the only manuals.

And "Damnit Jim!" You said you were picking yours up on wed evening. Had I known you would have waited, I would have taken a look. Question, did they give you the option of picking it up the same day it came in? Around what time did it come in?

Sunday ... 2AM third shift it passed through inspection.

That means they're running production 24/7 ...

My assumption is weekends are picked up by floaters... but it doesn't mean it was built on the weekend.

If you look at the spreadsheet, I documented the milestones.

The MFG date is when production started ... MDH is when it ended and passed through final inspection.

If I recall it took ten days total...

That being said, mine passed through final inspection on Monday, March 25 at 3:00 PM and shipped the next business day.

Also having them install a 2" bilstein lift. ($1565 + $1200 labor) And a set of 17" Strikes with 35" Mud Terrains with tpms ($3300)

Any feedback is appreciated.
Price sounds reasonable. Mine is loaded without painted top/fenders $42,700. Have a 3" BDS lift, Fox 2.0 Shocks, AEV wheels & 35 Duratrac, AEV ProCal, some additional stuff for about $6000. So, we're about the same price. One question, are they letting you keep the OEM wheels & tires or are they giving you a trade in value?? I got the dealer to take another $2000 off my prices for a swap. I never liked the factory wheels - just my opinion. Enjoy!!!
